Why the need to know the password to your spouse’s email account? Is to make sure that there’s no infidelity taking place? What if…let’s say…that a GF/wife were to receive emails from her female friends…something of a personal nature…and she doesn’t want to share it with her husband?

I wouldn’t ask him for the password to his email account…and I don’t feel comfortable giving mine. Even with my immediate family…I’ve never asked anyone for their email password…nor have I been asked to give mine.

Exactly.. I wouldn’t ask either and I wouldn’t even care if he found mine out, no big deal.. but if he ASKED for it, I’d find that weird and so probably wouldn’t give it
