May be German was derived from Pashto? Afterall German is an Indo-European language, :)

sheyn’s right! My dad has a doctorate in german language from germany and has been teaching the language for 35 years now as a prof, and he says the same thing about pushtu being influenced by german. He picks up pushto pretty well.

Bilkul bilkul.... duday ba rake mala, gore! Hahaha....I found an english-Pashto dictionary with transliterations and everything, i am sooooo freaking excited i cant tell ya! I found it at my University Library who has a bunch of very old Pashto kitab's, written in Pashto, of course and you know, if you know Arabic, reading Pashto is not that hard, mara!....Just a few different letters....

I say'mara' is the equal to 'man' in english, as in "geeezz..,man! What have you done now" context... :) or 'dude', even.
