How pashto films are destroying pashtun culture? pashtun population is mostly rural where there are no cinemas. You see only few cinemas in Peshawar which are visited only by low class cheap individuals.
I don't think Pashto films are destroying Pashtun culture. Most people don't take films' portrayal of culture too seriously as many films these days simply imitate Bollywood, which is obviously over-embellished and unrealistic. People are quite aware that what is shown is not traditional culture and don't attempt to pass it off as such.
In my experience, people don't mind having foreign elements in Pashto films because they can discern that these elements are foreign (and not terribly realistic in many cases) and they don't expect real life to reflect these. Given that people don't expect real life to reflect what is depicted in films, I don't think these films are a threat to Pashtun culture.
Personally, I find some of the newer bollywood-inspired films to be over-the-top, saccharine and unrealistic but I don't think this an issue either. It's simply a matter of finding something else to watch.
