**thank you very much for the video clips u've posted. what i'm gonna say now may not be politically correct but i wanted to say it anyways.
i've been studying urdu shaa'iri for the last 10 years and alHamdolillah i've come across with very learned people, so called urdu-daaN. i've studied almost all great urdu poets from Ghalib to Jigar Muradabadi. My dad himself was a great poet and i can do some "tuk-bandi" myself, so in this capacity, i can say one thing about Parveen Shaakir with confidence and i know i'll draw a lot of criticism for that but i do NOT mind as long as i'm able to say what i wanna say. i wud safely say that:
Parveen Shaakir has been grossly over-rated/Exeggerated as a shaa'ira!**
