Desecration of holy content cannot be tolerated at any cost. So should be our attitude towards vandalism of life and property of minorities in the country. Ishrat Ibad and Nisar Khoro were the first to quickly react to the incident and get involved in the issue to make sure that nobody takes an unfair advantage of the issue. The man accused of the act has been arrested. He should be allowed to go through the legal system of the country with full rights to defends himself so that the law could take its course. No one should be allowed to take the law in its own hands.

Agree and what I couldn’t understand in the report is unawareness of the Hindu tenant of Quran. Hindus of Sindh, know very well the alphabets of Arabic as Sindhi is written in Arabic style and they do have opportunities to see that in schools, where Muslim students are taught Islamiyat. Moreover, every nook and corner of Sindh had places (including Mosques, dargahs) which carry Quranic verses and even an illiterate can guess that pages kept separately in a corner are something sacred. There might be some negligence on the accused part, but that doesn’t justify vandalism and people taking law in their hands.
