Parents support

Re: Parents support

We should become independant as soon as possible.

After high school, I went to college on a full scholarship so parents didn't have to pay a single dollar in tuition. Since I was 16, I always had a part time job so even though I lived with parents (they paid the house bills)....I stopped asking parents for "allowance" type money at 16. I used money from my part time job to buy clothes, hang out with friend, extra activities at school etc. At 21, after college, I moved to a different city so I guess you can say at 21 I become 100% independant.

As for me supporting my parents financially, so far that has not been an issue. My parents are healthy and do not need any help from me at this point. Knowing my parents, they would actually be offended if I tried to support them right now. In the future, if/when they actually need my help, I would be more than happy to support them.
