When I was a kid I used to stay in a house which was very near to lots of open land. At around 1:30 am almost dailiy we used to hear a sound like " Hey sister" in the local language. I used to stay awake to hear that sound. It had an eerie feel to it. None of us including our parents were brave enough to open our windows and look. A priest who visited the place mentioned that it was the cry of a small boy who just got killed. His reasoning was that the sound waves formed when the boy uttered the cry was forming again due to some particular natural event. Later when buildings came up in these vacant land, the cry stopped.
I still sometime goto the old house and wait to hear that sound again. I have never heard it though.
