Yeah same here. I speak/understand but I am not a big fan of punjabi. I speak to my cousins when joking around but I prefer Urdu.

I love Punjabi and even listening to it :)
especially from him cuz hes a funny/jolly kinda person....and it sounds nice in punjabi....especially when he's just joking/messing around...
Urdu seems alot more serious.....so we tend to have the serious discussions in urdu
but I like them both...

Well when it comes to talking normal, meaning in everyday life, I like Urdu but when it comes to joking (like I mentioned in previous post), then nothing is better than Punjabi. 
. I mean, the punjabi stage shows are like so funny that if you were to put em’ in urdu or something, that’ll just kill it.
Laikin punjabi mein yaar battameezi bohat hai.
