Musharraf is NOT okay, he is being branded OKAY because he is listening to his master. The day he stops doing that, you'll hear the news "aur jahaz hawa mai pat gaya". Before we digress to what happened to Zia's plane, lets stay here on topic.

There is no immediate or magic solution, the country needs a democracy free from Army manipulation.
Then when it matures, we will have a system that produces productive leaders. India being a good example.
As for Busharraf, his 6 years have shown he is just as bad as NS and BB. Nobody who knows the situation is fooled anymore

Unlike you, I live in Pakistan and know what is going on in my country.
Pak had no choice but to support US after 9/11, that is not the point, the criticicism is that Busharraf has giving everything without getting enough back for the country....he has got plenty for himself.
Economy is doing ok because of effects of 9/11 and Western support.
Military going to Waziristan is only on US orders, and if you knew what was happening, they are not in control of these areas. In Balochistan they are making the situation worse every day.
Crime is still rising, corruption is as bad as ever.
I am not going to bother going on, you need to go to Pakistan and see the ground realities for yourself instead of relying on Western reports and what 3rd parties may tell you
