I was told that cafe is like that .. prone to light chit chat and flooding... if one needs to open a serious thread, there is GENERAL for that...

anyway, in all this heat and all, you deleted my legitimate entry where a PALentine was proposed :)

You were told correctly, however, if someone specifically asks for members to not flood in their thread, then that should be respected. Also, this thread is very much unlike the average Cafe thread for flooding and I am trying to give all members a fair chance to partcipate in this marathon. When people see a thread at page 5, they will most likely not want to participate because the flooding has gone on so far that it's a completely different subject.

So, I have removed several replies from this thread. Once again, this thread will be open to flooding on Palentine's Day. Until then, I ask everyone to please not post unecessarily in this thread.

I'm sorry for removing your legitimate reply. Could you be so kind as to re post what you stated? (It's a lot of posts to go through, I was bound to make a mistake here and there).

What thread are you talking about? =\ If you really didn't want people to flood, then you could have posted it in General (the reason I couldn't post this thread in General is because it's a Cafe-type thread and I wanted Cafeites to participate). If your thread could not be opened in General (like this one) you could have asked the Cafe Mods to keep an eye on it and remove unecessary replies.

If you want, you can open a thread regarding the issue in feedback but I'm assuming it happened a while ago (before I even became a Mod) in which case, frankly, I really don't care because it was beyond my control.

I am sorry missy.. it happened just in october 2006... and since my thread was deleted, I do not want to make an issue.. just wanted to keep things in perspective that atleast coordinate with each other on policies... I dun have anything to share....

If you're referring to 714's posts, I was going to remove them but then I considered the fact that those posts are her first in the Cafe after a very long time. How would you like it if your posts were removed after you just came back to the Cafe from a long time?
