To put it simply...the forces of Egypt Lenbanon and Syria do not have neither the training nor the willingness to take on the Israelis. Same is the case with all the other Arab countries. The egyptian and Syrians have intelligence agencies but they are too busy listening in on thier own people. The Saudi intelligence is probably too busy in the same way too. Besides that they lack unity. So if there is a war tommorrow, they will lose again like they have been doing from '48 onwards.
Look how cowardly they are.
The jewish soldiers are cowards who love this life more than they love the death, while the muslims have the strong iman which leads them to sacrifice their preciouse souls for the cause of Islam.

As was mentioned the Arab Armies are in no state to take on Israel. And yes their rulers are corrupt and evil and part of the problem.
You say why don't they invade? they tried THREE times and each time got soundly beaten!
Now they are even weaker, they can't invade.
BTW i'm not sticking up for the Israelis, but they are not cowards. They beat back Armies when they were outnumbered by many times.

Salaams everyone and Hi to the non-muslims
This post will clarify why the muslim puppet rulers have been unable to destroy Israel.
They said: “O Musa! In it (this holy land) are a people of great strength, and we shall never enter it, till they leave it. When they leave, then we will enter.” [TMQ 5: 21]
Whilst the Israeli army rampaged through Jenin and Tulkarm, causing widespread devastation to peoples lives and property,. Muslims throughout the world raged with anger at Israel, and pledged their help and support for the Palestinians. But at the same time, there is also a feeling of helplessness in the Ummah, that she is unable to stop the worlds 4th most powerful army - The Israeli Army? Muslims were resolved to believe even if Egypt or Jordan or Syria did send their armies to help, they would have no effect on the might of the Israeli armed forces with their advanced weapons, battle ships and fighter jets.
History shows that there have been 4 major wars between Israel and the Arab countries in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973, and the outcome of each war was victory for Israel and defeat for the Muslims. If fighting Jihad against Israel is not possible, then surely the only solution left is to recognise the State of Israel and make peace with her, as Saudi Arabia has proposed recently.
Let’s examine this argument and show that it has no basis as a valid concept from the Islamic texts and the reality.
The Qur’an contains many stories of the previous Prophets and Messengers that Allah ( Subhana wa ta Subhanahu Wa ta’ala) sent to mankind, and gives very detailed accounts of the Prophets that were sent to the Jews (Banu Israel). These stories (qisas) were revealed so that we may learn from them.
In Surah al-Maida, a story is narrated of the Banu Israel after the death of Pharaoh (Fir'awn) where Musa (Alaihis Salam) had ordered them to fight their enemies in Palestine - the Canaanites and Hittites. They made excuses saying: “O Musa, a great people dwell therein. We will not go in unless they leave.” Amongst all of the Banu Israel, Musa found only 2 people willing to fight. The rest were too cowardly. These 2 men said to their people “Once we enter through the gate, Allah will make us victorious, so put your trust in Allah if you are believers.” But the Banu Israel said “O Musa. We shall never enter it (Palestine) as long as they are there. So you and your Lord and these 2 men go and fight, we are staying right here.” [4]

Allah (Subhana wa ta alaSubhanahu Wa ta’ala) also describes their nature in another ayah of Qur’an.

“You will indeed find them of all people most greedy for life even more than the mushrikeen; each one of them wishes he could be given a life of a thousand years; but the grant of such life will not save him from punishment for Allah sees all that they do.” [TMQ 2: 96]
The Jews currently occupying Palestine, who take pride in being the descendents of Banu Israel, are no different in their fear of death and in cowardice than their ancestors.
It is true that Israel has advanced military technologies given to it by the US, but much of this technology is rendered useless due to their cowardice and fear of death.
The organisation ‘Human Rights Watch’ has produced a 24-page report based on the testimony of more than 50 witnesses, illustrating how Israeli soldiers have forced Palestinians at gunpoint to open suspicious packages, knock on suspects’ doors, and search the houses of Palestinians wanted by Israel.
In two of the raids it investigated, Human Rights Watch says Israeli soldiers used children under the age of 18 to approach the houses of suspects. There are other reports of Palestinians being forced to walk in front of Israeli tanks. So even with their tanks and advanced technology they are still terrified of facing the Muslims who are only armed with light weapons. [5]
Another example of how technology is rendered useless by an army’s fear of death was in Afghanistan earlier this year, where US soldiers were ambushed by Muslims at Gardez.
According to the testimony of one young Afghan fighter who took part in the battle, he said that the Americans were so frightened of the mujahideen that they had kept Afghans at the front and rear of their convey so that they could be safe. Recounting the events which led to the attack, he said that when the convoy reached the centre of the valley, they encountered an ambush. The mujahideen started firing at the convoy from many sides. When the attack was launched the Americans became confused and soldiers started braying like donkeys with fear. The Americans were so afraid that they were not even able to fire properly with their guns.
He said he was younger than most of the Americans, but he was amazed that even he was able to return some fire, but the Americans could barely stand on their feet, as fright overtook them. The Afghan said, before the attack he was very impressed with the commando uniform, heavy military gear and latest weapons of the Americans, but he was forced to laugh during the height of the battle when he saw the cowardice and confusion of the Americans. [6]
Many Israeli soldiers have faced court martial over the years for their cowardice.
In December 1998, a video was broadcast worldwide showing 19-year-old Corporal Miyara being dragged from his car and cowering on the roadside as he was kicked and beaten by Palestinians before managing to flee without his weapon. [5]
In February 2000, a military court in Israel jailed a soldier for refusing to serve in the Israeli controlled zone in southern Lebanon. The soldier, a tank technician, confessed that he was too scared to return to the border zone in which Hezbollah had killed seven Israeli soldiers that year. The soldier was sentenced to a month in jail. The list goes on. [5]
Israeli Prisoners of War - 1973
The 1973 war in which Egypt and Syria launched pre-emptive strikes against Israel is a testament to the fallacy of Israeli invincibility and the strength and bravery of the Muslim armies. It is clear that the Muslim armies were motivated by Islam and wanted to fight Jihad to liberate Palestine, but their leaders Hafiz al-Asad and Anwar Sadat were not and had their own objectives. In a meeting of the Egyptian National Security Council, 4 days before the start of the war, the Egyptian Vice-President Dr Mahmoud Fawzi made the intentions for this war clear. He gave the analogy of a Japanese Samurai, who used to carry a long sword and a short sword. ‘I think we are going to use our short sword,’ he said, signifying a limited battle to meet certain objectives. [2]
The war started on 6th October 1973 in the month of Ramadhan, and was code-named ‘Operation Badr’. At 1405 hours, 4000 guns, rocket-launchers, and mortars opened up on the Egyptian front. The artillery barrage was supported by strikes from over 300 aircraft. 15 minutes later 8000 troops in 1000 rubber boats crossed the Suez Canal, and the first fortress on the Israeli’s so-called ‘invincible’ Bar-Lev line was captured at 1500 hours exactly. Many others fell soon afterwards. At 1710 hours the first Israeli officers were taken prisoner. By 1930 hours the first formations of the two Egyptian divisions were established on the East Bank of the canal. 80,000 men in twelve waves had penetrated Sinai to a depth of three to four kilometres and were well dug in inside the Bar-Lev fortified area. In order to secure these positions it was essential that the Israel armour should not be able to engage them, and could only be achieved by confronting the Israelis with mobile anti-tank weapons carried by individual infantrymen. The Muslim soldiers detailed for this task ran without stopping from the moment they landed on the east bank until they covered the five kilometres ready to face the Israeli armour.

On the Syrian front at 1500 hours Syrian ground forces negotiated the Israeli anti-tank ditch and advanced at great speed. Many Israeli strong points fell within the first few hours of the battle, and Syria managed to regain part of the Golan Heights.
After two days of fighting, Israel lost 49 aircraft and 500 tanks. The armies were highly motivated at this time to fight in the way of Allah to liberate Palestine. A day or two after the war started the Egyptian army information services had a leaflet printed which was distributed to all serving soldiers. This was a very motivational leaflet for the soldiers. The leaflet began ‘Bismillah, ar-Rahman, ar-Raheem. The Prophet is with us in the battle. O Soldiers of Allah …’ It went on to say that ‘one of the good men’ had a dream in which he saw the Prophet Muhammed ( Sallallahu alaihi wa Alaihi Wasallam) dressed in white, taking with him the Sheikh of al-Azhar, pointing his hand and saying ‘come with me to Sinai’. Some of the ‘good men’ were reported to have seen the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallamAlaihi Wasallam) walking among the soldiers with a benign smile on his face and a light all around him. It finished ‘O Soldiers of Allah, it is clear that Allah is with you.’ [2]
If Anwar Sadat was sincere to Islam like his army then he could have ordered the Egyptian forces onwards to seize the Mitla and Giddi passes – the strategic keys to the Sinai and then launch an attack on Israel itself. He was not sincere, and did something unthinkable which was to order an ‘operational pause’ in the fighting. This lasted around 5 days which allowed Israel to mobilise its forces and attack the Egyptian troops that were ‘sitting ducks’ exposed out in the open rather than in the safety of the passes.
In fact an ‘operational pause’ is not a concept known to military theorists. There can only be a pause when the mission for which the operation was planned has been successfully completed. But the real intention of the ‘operational pause’ was far from being military strategy. On 7th October, from a position of huge military advantage, Anwar Sadat wrote a letter to Henry Kissinger the US Secretary of State. This letter was transmitted through Eugene Trone the CIA representative in Cairo. The letter stated that the objective of the war was ‘the achievement of peace in the Middle East and not … partial settlements’. Also it stated ‘We do not intend to deepen the engagement or widen the confrontation’. This clearly informed Washington and hence Israel that the objective of the war was not seeking to retake the whole of Sinai by force, hence the ‘operational pause’ ordered by Sadat. [1]

The result of all this was that the Egyptian and Syrian armies were defeated, but the reality of the war destroys the myth of Israeli invincibility and shows the strength and bravery of the Muslims.
The Muslims strength and bravery is renowned throughout military history and continues to this day. Whether we are discussing the Battle of Mutah where 3,000 Muslims fought against 200,000 Romans or as is the case today as young Palestinian children stand up to Israeli tanks with stones, they share the same source of strength which is the Islamic ‘aqeeda. It is this ‘aqeeda also, that motivates the sincere Imam (Khaleefah) of the Muslims to lead the Ummah in to battle, not to betray the Ummah as our corrupt leaders have done time and time again regarding Israel.
The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallamAlaihi Wasallam) said: “The Imam is a shield, from behind which the Muslims fight and by whom they are protected.” [Sahih Muslim]
Muslim Soldier – Umayyad Period
It is this ‘aqeeda that gives the Muslim army the motivation to fight and not to fear death, but hope and pray for death in battle as a Shaheed.

“Can you expect for us any fate other than one of two glorious things - Martyrdom or Victory”. [TMQ 9: 52]
Rewards given to the shaheed are immense. They include:
i) Their souls are in green birds dwelling in Jannah wherever they like.
ii) All their sins and faults are forgiven except debt.
iii) He can intercede for 70 of his family members.
iv) Be secure on the day of resurrection from the great terror.
v) He will not feel the agonies and stress of death.
vi) He will not be horrified by the great gathering on the day (of accountability – Yawm al-Qiyamah).
vii) He does not feel the pain of his killing except like a pinch.
It is the strong conviction in the ‘aqeeda that led to extreme styles and means being adopted during the Muslim battles.
During the Battle of Yamamah led by Khalid bin al-Walid, Musaylimah the liar and his army retreated to a garden surrounded by high fortified walls. One of the soldiers Baraa ibn Malik volunteered to be placed on a shield and thrown over the high walls into the garden so he could then open the doors. He was successful and Musaylimah and his army were defeated.
Tariq bin Abdul-Aziz ibn Ziyad who led the battle to conquer Spain, burnt the ships on the shores of Spain so that the army could not retreat.
To conclude, the Jews are clearly a cowardly people who hate death and fighting, whereas the Muslims love death and are eager to die fighting Jihad. Once the Muslims have one sincere Khaleefah to lead the Jihad against Israel then inshAllah Palestine will be liberated and Islam established there once more. No matter how bad the situation becomes for the Ummah we must never give up hope in Allah (Subhana wa ta Subhanahu Wa ta’ala) and the Islamic solutions.

I dont think one should be fighting like this in front of Masjid. But then again what could have they done?
