I agree. Most Indian posters that I know of are based in USA :)
Again, you are confusing the members/posters with the overall activity (google-sent once off readers, silent reader majority, idle members, active members etc.) we are talking about here.

for everyone who's surprised... remember these are statistics for site traffic... i.e. visitors to this site... NOT members of the site.
The site might get a lot of hits from search engines from Pakistan, and India... especially when people are searching for current affairs information. It has nothing to do with whether these site visitors are actually members of the site.
Also, as X2 mentioned, you need to also take passive members/lurkers into account.

i always thought most of the users are from USA because the it seems to me that not much posting is done in the middle of the night bringing me to the conclusion that most guppies are from USA and sleeping when I get up in the middle of the night to check GS because I cant sleep...
