Re: Pakistans industrial dilemma..
^^Hasan gardezi's talk about poverty reduction is nothing but old commie leftie blabbering packaged as anti-globalization neo-socialist (show-shaw-list) bakwas.
Poverty is, simply put, the result of poor money flow within the society. This is not too different from human body that atrophies due to poor blood flow.
Money flow through society is controlled by the "valves" in the form of regulations put in place by the society or the government. These regulations or trade barriers are mostly packaged as taxation rules.
For Pakistan in particular, the tax code is pretty much the same as the one put in place by the British. Now these rules are almost 150 years old.
Who is supposed to change or update these rules? Our parliament! What do our parliamentarians do in this regards? Nothing! They would rather talk about Israel, Arrabos, Talibobs, and other religious nun-sense.
Who was supposed to tell these wayward parliamentarians that we need new tax laws?
We the people!
What do "we the people" do in this regard? Nothing! We would rather talk about Punjab, vs. Pakhtoonistan, vs. Sindh, vs. Balochistan. In the end we the educated folks have failed miserably in prioritizing our issues.
Pathetic low level issues like uniform, the NFC, the religion, Amreeka, the local election take up most of our time. Majority of our academics love to blabber about commie leftie jannat (utopia) in their comfi drawing rooms. This bakwas goes on while poor people suffer due lack of money flow just like atrophied parts of human body. Sad indeed!
