A national leader is died, people are mourning and chanting against whatever they see. What would you expect from gov. Fire on them ?. The only strategy is to show restrain. let them calm. Remember about riots in France last year students burn more then 600 cars and hundreds of private and gov property. If develop nation like france couldn't stop them what you expect from Pak gov ?

Look, gov can't stop the public actually not public whole country from coming out start protesting. So they have to wait until they calm down. Thats the way it works.

Yeah government can only stop innocent students and human rights activitists and lawyers but can't stop people from burning the property. Actually I remember there were no law enforcement officers on the roads when the incident took place. They came out like after few hours. What a shame, both on those did it and the law enforcement agencies.

oh I know that...see the video of Benazir's shooting, when that guy was shooting at BB, the policemen went down on the ground instead of taking an action to save others lives.

This is not an excuse, why do we have police, rangers, and army? If they can't help maintain law and order at the time of unrest, then we don't need them.
