Very, very tragic and condemnable!
It turns out that these guys were connected to some Deobandi jihadi maulvis from Karachi's Binori madrassa. They were suspected to be "convincing" Somali youth to do "jihad" under the guise of being Tablighis and the locals took the law into their own hands.
It is bad enough that our jihadi maulvis are posioning our own youth but now they are going around the world with their messages and making bad name for all of us.
You missed the point. Pakistanis will go to modern countries like Australia for obvious reasons. Going to a country at war like Somalia or Afghanistan makes no sense as a civllian.
Well my uncle is in Afghanistan right now on a business trip and he is doing much better than ever before. We thought he was being silly (for obvious reasons) but he has been extremely successful since he started going to Afghanistan so your theory of Pakistanis going to MODERN countries is CRAP.
