In parts of India, girls are encouraged to be vegitarians - they feel meat brings out the male hormones in women - more hairy & more sturdy looking.

Not sure if there is any scientific basis in this.

I feel Punjabis (both men and women) are more hairier than usual. But doesn't matter, really. I think (but not sure) that hair removal from "important" areas is mandatory in islam. Anyone want to confirm?

Confirmed, lol. It is required/recommeneded (depending on your aqeedah) to remove hair from pubic areas and arm pits. It is permissible to remove it from other areas especially for women to beautify theirself for their husbands.

To answer the poster... it's not just paki women, its a genetic trait that is visible in many ethnicities for example: hispanic, arab, even black and white women.

My grandmother is of Afghani descent, and no hair on arms, legs, upper lip, etc.

She thinks we grow it because we mess with it so much. She never did anything so that’s why she doesn’t have any. I doubt it’s that simple, but she’s convinced.

Yes and my Dada was Pathan so not much hair on that side of the family either. I have very little compared to some Desi women I’ve known. But it’s true what Sara said, that everyone has some hair. Even gorays have hair but it ranges from blonde to dark, so it may be less visible.

I had a college roomate who suddenly got into Feminism and didn’t shave her legs for a year. One day she wore green, transparent tights with a miniskirt. She thought she was making a statement. I don’t think womanhood was any better that day. Because really…it’s hair, everyone has it.

I am punjabi and my both paternal and maternal grandmothers do not have as much hair as some other punjabi women. Hair do not see whether you are punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Afghani, Kashmiri, or White, it is different for each individual.

I have seen gori girls with longer hair on their arms than my arm hair. While at a water park, I have seen gori girls with a lot of hair on their thighs and butts. They are just as visible because they are blonde as they would be on a desi girl, because of dark hair.

I was watching club couple of days ago & they showed a program "hairy women" and believe me ... there are some really hairy women around & they are not pakis. So being hairy is not associated to paki women only, though I never cared / knew if paki women were hairy or not.

I was in school once and chatting to a paki gal. I looked down and she was wearing one of them salwars that have a cut in the ankle area. I saw hair on her legs that was probably worse than mine.

I felt so sick after that, i think i skipped lunch.
