This has happened in the tribal agency that the army has previously claimed that has been completely cleared. Either that was a lie, or the taleban which had been pushed earlier to Afghanistan have simply returned back. In either case, how can this war be won? Its a vicious cycle…

The Army only clears the roads and populated areas but does not pursue these guys into the interior.

The Army uses World War II tactics and does not have the capability to conduct COIN operations.

We need lots of Gunships, IFV for that.

If we patch up our relationship with USA, then USA can give us these vital tools to conduct this kind of operations.
