Re: Pakistani Movie- Chambaili
A must watch! An amazing movie after a long time..loved it..
Re: Pakistani Movie- Chambaili
Watched it. Hated it. Stereotyping that Mullahs and Islam is evil. Brainwashing film being released right before elections, to influence people. Didn't like it one bit.
Re: Pakistani Movie- Chambaili
There is a very positive front-page review of this movie on today’s Images section of Dawn, the most prestigious newspaper of Pak. And it is all the more interesting because this movie apparently was produced in association with Geo group and Pakistani media often seems to downplay and is very critical of Pakistani productions that are affiliated with rival media houses.
“Smells like a Revolution”](http://epaper.dawn.com/DetailNews.php?StoryText=05_05_2013_421_006)
From ‘The actors’ part of the review:
“…Maira Khan hasn’t been as prominent on TV screens of late and she performs a stellar performance in C*hambaili *as Kiran, a die-hard idealist with courage that defies any sense of caution. Shafqat Cheema as Musheer (city president of the Inquilaab party) also gives a note-worthy performance as a politician who would switch sides and betray those who trust him simply to get ahead. Fashion model Mehreen Syed plays the protagonist’s love interest and looks breathtaking beautiful in almost every frame. And she surprised with her acting skill as she was quite convincing in her role-- more so than another model-turned-film actor who has starred in two previous high-profile productions.
Salman Peerzada as chaiman of the Inquilaab party, Sardar Jan Sher, and Khalid Ahmed as the president of the religious-political party, Hazb Haq, both are seasoned actors in their own right and have delivered stellar performances.
The real star of the film however remains Ehtishamudin as Musa Azeem-- a conscientious, driven idealist who leads his friends into taking a stand against the injustice they are suffering and work to bring about change. It is his words that drive the essence of the film’s message. They spurred the ‘revolution’ that takes place in the film.”
Re: Pakistani Movie- Chambaili
Can we call it sequel to ‘Khuda Ke liye’ and ‘Bol’? :sid:

Re: Pakistani Movie- Chambaili
This was a weird one. hadn't heard about it being made or produced and all of a sudden a trailer was released. aur phir jitnee jaldee aee utnee jaldi chaulee gaee. and no DVD or way to watch it online. some ppl suggested that this too was funded by some political party or the army ahead of the elections. I am curious and want to see it.
