Marvi’s determination and refusing all the worldly offers from Umar Soomro over her love for Maleer and Maroo made her an immortal character. She could easily accepted those offers and could return to Maleer as queen, but she didn’t compromise her dignity. The experts of Shah Latif interpret Marvi’s character as normal human being, her love for Maleer as love for Allah and worldly offers of Umer as greed that separate human beings from love of Allah.

Famous Classical Singer of Sindh Muhammad Ibrahim (who trained Radio singers like Rubina Qureshi) sings Shah Latif’s Sur Maruee.

O, Umar, I ask the passers-by about my people and my land.

Longing and pining for her people in your palace, O, Umar, Marvi weeps and makes other weep.
My heart cries day and night in your palace, O, Umar, for my people and my land.
Shah Abdul Latif says, No one from my people has come here to take me back to my land.

Muhammad Ibraheem was very much famous in rural Sindh during 70's for classical music.

I'll come up with more Dastaans soon.
