At the same time i have sympathy for the tribals in formerly FATA. The real culprit is the Army. they have been sitting on their collective arse since '65, sitting in their farm houses build on grabbed lands, sipping scotch, running cement factories and real estate empires, while brainwashing the poor,simple and patrioatic tribals to do their work (i.e. fighting india for IHK and strategic depth in afghanistan etc.) . All the while eating up most of the resources of this poor but talented awaam. The most recent example being Kerry-luggar bill that was meant mostly for the good of awaam. The thugs with the guns, aka army, did not like that and made a big hue and cry about it.
The awaam is stuck between thugs (aka politicians) and thugs with guns (aka army).

and how many of these 10K are giving suicide training? any numbers with substantial proofs? if found (and its a big if), there wont be more than 1-2% of these, and if you be honest, you can find similar or larger number of fundamental/radical/religious extremist training organizations in USA/Europe/India

whats wrong with that? lets do simple maths

numbers of madarsa students in punjab = 0.68 million
(sum of all above = 685475)

pakistan’s total population in 2008 = 172 million

estimated in 2010 at 2.2% growth rate = 180 million

15-64 years: 59% = 106 million

roughly around 54% lives in punjab = 57 million
(because in your post you only mentioned

and now, just for the sake of argument
we assume that 5% of these 0.68
(even its too much to assume) are
in madarsas giving suicide training = 0.034 million

see, this simple calculation shows how accurate you were when you said “millions”, even the above 0.034 is assumed 5% (5 times more than what UN expects as some one posted on first page),
and on top of that, they got no proof of even that 1%!!!

so this whole rhetoric is based on lines and nothing else…

so what? lets see where our corrupt leaders got their education from
Asif Zardari: Karachi Grammar School, Cadet College Petaro, St Patricks School, Karachi and London School of Economics, UK (he claims)
Altaf Hussain: Islamia Science College Karachi and University of Karachi
Nawaz Sharif: St. Anthony’s High School, Lahore and Government College Lahore

if they, after studying at these institutes, turned out to be what they are today, does this prove that the above mentioned institutes are the reason? No. probably these are few of the best schools/ colleges in pakistan
so if this Waliur Rahman studied at Jamia Islamia Imdadia and later became a traitor/killer/indian stooge, it does not make Imdadia a terrorist training center

and why so difficult it is for you to understand that in 1979 pakistan’s population was not 180million, plus this 40k is according to some “estimates” (pbs as you posted above, says its 10k), plus this was the most deprived and resource less area back then which is now Pakistan, most of the madaris were in areas which are now part of india, so the number was supposed to increase, and i say, it should have been more than what it is today…

how many madrissahs are actual registered in FATA/Villages - you have no idea - next time when you are in Pak - take a drive out from city and try some village or how about a journey to Punjab/Balouch/Sindh border region - i heard it’s quite a different now compare to ten years ago thats when i visited.

i never said million’s are becoming suicide bombers - was referring to total amount.

I doubt ANYONE will give you ANY certificate of credibility just by making a claim of 2000 madrassas indoctrinating students with anarchism in Faisalabad and then this post as your supporting argument. I am sure you are not a law or journalism student.

by the way, "only" registering the madaris is not going to solve anything, until the govt provide them with enough resources to bring up standard of the madaris or provide them with alternate options for education. only spreading lies about how islamic clergy is training suicide bombers is not an effort to solve the issue, instead its to alienate then in the whole world and then to find an excuse kill them

why not? when some body studied at a religious school turns bad, its enough to target the school and declare it as terrorist training center, and when people who studied at other schools do bad things, you call it "nothing to do with the current subject"

about video, i cannot see it here, type a summary here if you want an answer to whatever is she claiming. if its a video of that "fake paradise" made in a "so called" madarsa in sawat or surrounding area which is recovered from terrorists by pak army, then let me tell you, in the whole area only one such madarsa was found, not millions can be trained there. and to know who were running this and whats the concept and logic behind it, you need to study something about "hasheshain" and followers of "ibn-e-sabah" who used the same stuff at the times of crusades
