On second thoughts, I feel that Pakistan (unlike India in the other match) still has an outside chance of winning this test match.

Pakistan is 245 behind NZ already. India is only 148 runs behind and Aus is down to Lee with Ponting, he will run out of partners soon, while NZ has lost only 3 wickets, and Vettori (who is last recognized batsmen for current Pakistani bowling condition) is still far away :(
But Sir, Indian batsmen will face Lee & Co. in their second outing and the Aussies still have another innings to bat, if needed. While it is not really "impossible" for Pakistani batsmen to successfully chase a target of 350 runs against the NZ bowling attack ( difficult yes, impossible no).
Pakistani team is again proving to be..ONE MAN SHOW!! i.e Shoaib Akhter..Who ever counts Yohanana and Inzi as world class/top class batsman..is INSANE!....When will they prove their worth??..We hire bowling coaches all the time..what we really need is a batting coach!!
As usual, Pakistanis turned a zero into a hero (Butler). Pakistan is down and out in this match unfortunately. Very non-professional play by Pakistan throughout this match. The only hope is rain, and the only chance of rain is in the afternoon:
Today: Windy with showers developing this afternoon. High 66F. Winds N at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Tonight: Cloudy with occasional rain showers. Low around 55F. NE winds shifting to SE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Tomorrow: Plentiful sunshine. High around 65F. Winds ENE at 15 to 25 mph.
what an effort by Jacob Oram - he uplifed his side and then did well in bowling too - i think Inzi's reluctant to let Shoaib bowl(injury issue?) Ashoka de Silva's pathetic umpiring - and dropped catches - all were part of mistakes that let New Zealanders to score 366 - then Pakistan's batting didn't help either.
i think Pakistan should go ahead with Sami and Shoaib to bowl first 20 overs - the lead is 245 runs - the best thing to save this match would be to bowled out New Zealand side under 300 runs which seems impossible tho! if that doesn't happen - draw looks inevitable as the forecast says..
*an absolute pathetic and abysmal performance by our batsmen :mad3: just when we needed solid contributions from the top 6… except for yousi’ who managed to score a respectful 60 the rest were below par at the wrong time especially when i thought we were gonna win the test ‘n’ the series not anymore we will now lose probably given the situation @ hands… this makes me so  *
^^ to add sumthin let uz chat… Pakistan A and India A match was 25 overs only and our captain Shahid Afridi was taking it as a double wicket game.. HE was just hitting the ball and other players were doing the same. Amin-ul-Rehman, the wicket-keeper was sent as one-down as a pinch hitter. Sulman Butt and Bilal Asad scored 23 and 25 respectively. Pakistan reached 97 n 23.2 overs.
To add more, worst start given by Pakistan pacers including left hand seemer Khalil. Though he got a wicket of Gautam Gambhir. Second wicket was of Yuvraj Singh. Muhammed Hafeez got him out with the help of wicket-keeper. Then it was Amjad and Junaid Zia. Absolutely deadly spell from leg breaker and right hand pacer. Amjad trapped the captain Badani infront of the wickets and then Junaid Zia got rid of Bangar, Rohan Gavaskar and Ajay Ratra. The opener Dinesh Mongia treated Pakistani bowlers and the Indians chased the target in 23rd with Mongia and Bahutule on the crease. India were already in the finals but a really god fightback by Pakistan and Junaid Zia bowled really really well. Proud of Zia Jnr:k:
