Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Move over England - there is a new sheriff in town.

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Misbah ul-Haq always comes through. at times, he can be frustrating to watch - his style can be counter-productive in limited overs cricket. But in test cricket, he has become "The Wall" for Pakistan. Always there when you need him.

Using my 20-20 hindsight crystal ball, his grinding inning probably set up this potential victory.

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Uncle that was funny :rotfl:

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

He is always annoying

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Misbah probably does not belong in ODIs but he's very much needed in tests

66 runs at a SR of 60.00 cannot be described as an annoying or slow innings. If anything Younis Khan SR 33.20 was uncharacteristically slow, 88 runs at 2 runs per over was quite unlike him ... but the runs he scored were crucial

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Sohail Khan is okay although I would have preferred to see Mohammad Talha on this tour.

And Junaid Khan was given overs in both innings. He just doesnt look the deal.

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Love of I will resign and come back loud mouth talking here. :D

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

and the only good batsmen in the world is who throws his bat at every ball and repeatedly gets out playing irresponsible shots and later found saying, please don't ask about it..

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Zim 141 all out

Pak needing 88 to win are currently

49/2

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

^This should not slow down the run-rate, 3/4 more fours and Pakistan is home, the more they try to defend the more pressure would be there...

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

74/2

Within sight of victory

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

88/3

Pak won by 7 wickets. :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

And with that Pakistan won the series...

and with that, there are number about Misbah

Test Played 25
Average : 44.32
Strike rate : 40.72

ODI Played 78
Average: 42.78
Strike Rate: 77.74

T20 Played 32
Average : 35.38
Strike Rate : 113.34

I don't know what one have to more than that? should he try to throw every ball out of the ground?

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Add loss of 07 T20 WC and 2011 WC Semis to his name too

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

I don't know if anybody has seen these two matches and still says that it was Misbah who was the reason Pakistan lost, as far as T20 final is concerned, it was Misbah who took the match till last over, Pakistani batsmen were falling around him and he kept his cool and gave hope to Pakistan, in WC semi-final, again it was Misbah who stood his ground while others got out playing craziest short ever, this include then captain Shahid Afridi who did nothing to support Misbah on the other end and just gave his wicket while trying to play crazy blinder...

Kudos to those to think that rest of the batsmen in these two matches were spectators and it was only Misbah who had to play the whole thing...

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Misbah dropped a sitter off Afridi's Bowling and it was Tendulkar too .....Akmal,Umar,and Younis dropped catches too off Afridi's bowling He Bowled he heart out and went for 40 odd runs in 10 overs Plus he took 21 wickets in the WC u cant expect him to perform in every match...While when Time came for Misbah to show his class he played so slowly that Umar lost his wicket trying to accelarate the score and even Razzaq and in the end he got out too

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Misbah is a good test batsman and should only Stick to Test

Make Hafeez the captain of ODI n T20

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

poor afridi? chch

he bowled his heart out and when it comes to bat, he threw his brain out...

Re: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011

Good performance by Aizaz Cheema! :k:

Mohammad Hafeez is a genuine captain material and I hope he is made captain as soon as possible in all formats of the game…
