Osman Samiuddin, our man at the ground, says that, while the rain is heavy, the clouds are passing quickly so there's some hope that it won't rain for long. He says there's plenty of weather on it's way though, so even when we do start it's unlikely this will be the last break of the game.

I will not rely on Srilankans for weather info ,anymore.This morning I was told by my Mattara distributor that there was going to be no rain and now it's raing there.I called her up now and she says she told me about Mattara and not abt Pallekele. :p

^Infact you should be happy now.After the rain is over,the picth will favour the bowlers more and you can scalp their wickets fast and then do the winning stuff. :)

Some water seems to have seeped under the covers, so there are plenty of people out there now with giant sponges to soak up the water.
