I take my words back from early on when I said it is a good decision to bowl first...
I don't think Pak judged the pitch right....it seems it got slow and low as time progressed....
and I hope they don't repeat this mis judgment in the other matches...

In a previous match his team Sialkot Stallions was awarded defeat despite beating everyone's favourite Lahore Eagles. After the game had finished Shoaib Malik's team was accused of a slow over rate and hence 12 runs were given to Lahore which helped them to win. He had been consulting with the umps throughout the game and never did they complain of a slow over rate.

So what he did in the next game against Karachi Dolphins is he let Karachi win, so that Karachi can move on to the next stage and Lahore would be left behind.

Not for money but in protest. Not the right way to protest but still he did get the media's attention that way. And he made his intentions very clear in the award ceremony afterwards.
