79.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Adams, FOUR, short one again, cut away hard top edge flies to third man boundary
Tell me how many times this has to happen so he (Yoyo) may place a fielder there
Nel is out...
SA 307/8...
Akhtar hit this time...
Nel gone ..... wicket for shobby
TOTAL : (in 82.1 overs, for 8 wickets ) 314 Run Rate : 3.82
8 overs for the day to go...and 2 wickets remaining... :)
Ntini gone after hitting Malik a 6...
will PAK come out with a tail-ender ???????
Final score: SA 320
Pak may play some 5 overs... :)
**All out for 320 ** Well not all out but Kirsten is not gonna bat.
Good come back by Pakistan after SA were 145-2 at lunch. But they got some 60 runs too many courtesy of boucher and pollock.
Shoaib Malik was awesome :k: Bowled really well, so did Kaneria. Sami was effective in his first spell. Shoaib changed the match in one over removing two key batsmen from the crease. Mushtaq was inconsistent but he was unlucky as well when atleast two decisions didnt go in his favor. All in all good perforamcne by Pakistan :k:
Now its batsmen’s turn to make it count and score atleast 400.

First of all Pakistan has to negotiate these 5 overs, that too under bad light.
Also, i think 400 from this batting is a bit too wishful. I think arnd 340 would be a decent effort. Good luck Pakistan!
^But not less than 321...
Achee khabbar is that there is no further play today. However tommarow will be a big test for Pakistani bullaybaaz. It must be said that Gaindbaaz today have done a brilliant job.
From the proceedings so far, it could be said that SA has made a grave mistake by opting for a single spin option only.
Also, good luck Asim Kamal, the debutant.
kh all
Play called off due to poor light...
Excellent bowling performance by the boys, Shoaib Akhtar effectively got rid of 3 batsmen and Malik picked up 4. Razzaq would never have got those so well eslected fpor a change :k:
Kaneria deserved more he bowled beautifully and had we been sharper in the field SA would have struggled to get 250. Boucher scored 72 after edging his first ball thruogh where a 3rd slip should have been off Shoaib.
Well done lads, but I think we will struggle to get near that score. Our batting line up is too inexperienced. I think with Inzi missing Younis should have been kept in. His record is better in test cricket and he should probably have missed the ODI’s and played here.
This is going to be a very interesting game. Kirsten took a really nasty blow from Shoaib his face was a mess. Hope he’s ok, he was looking good.
There are only 2 known experienced bats in our team, Youhanna and Moin, other than that all are less than experienced unless you count Taufeeq and Yasir as “experienced” as well, but I think they are less than that. I wish they can cross 250 and hope that they make it 500 ![]()
