Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

So if they can have upto 75 min rain break and still can come back and finish the overs, the game is pretty much on. Ofcourse the current RR is supporting Pak. But lets see how much of a DLS can be applied

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Rain stopped play, DLS par is 100 & we are 19 runs ahead

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Pakistan will win if play dont continues…

DLS chart for this game:

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Looking out of my window I don’t think there is any chance of play tonight.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Seems like it EB:

9.00pm Word from George Dobell at Edgbaston: “Umpires talking to groundstaff now. Rain did stop for a while, but looks as if it has restarted. Only takes 20 minutes to remove covers but how fit it will be… more play isn’t impossible, but is unlikely.”

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Keep looking out from your window…please…so Pakistan can get 2 points…

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Congratulations!!! Pakistan have won the match D/L method :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Although South Africa were firm favourites today, one always felt that Pakistan had a chance against them given RSA’s record in ICC tournaments and given our decent record against them in such events (Pakistan also beat them in the group game in 2015 World Cup).

However against India the problem is both psychological (knowing that we have not beaten them in an ICC event for more than a decade, so perhaps no longer expect to win against them; ofcourse players do try their best) and physical (the latter’s obvious superiority in batting).

A much improved bowling and fielding display. Hasan Ali was the star of the show today. Batting remains iffy

Rain and Hasab Ali joint MoM today..

Must not take Lanka lightly..

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Anyone points table?

Pakistan do need to win the two remaining matches…because Pak lost with huge Margin…Pakistan need to win one match with equally huge or big margin

So we won against no. 1 team. Great that new players did contributed in the victory. I realy want to ask sarfraz y he didn’t gave a single over to hafeez in last while today he is the only bowler completed 10 overs.
Fielding really got a boost today that also encouraged bowlers.
Over all it was lucky for pk that the planned pitch was not well prepared for today’s match so match is played on a weard pitch giving support to spinners and skiddy bowling of hassan. They maintain pressure through out the sa innings. Really I was thinking how our bowlers will get Amla out. He is looking do solid recently.
Well done team pk. Pl. Continue and reach semi. Itna hi bohot hey for us.

PS1: But the NRR is still in the way…

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

lol…It would be amazing to hope that SL defeat India and Pakistan defeat SL…

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

Whenever Pakistan gets in trouble in ICC tournaments, its south africa who comes to our aid and help us advance to the next round .

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

consistency is the name of success and we dont have it.we were so bad and embarrassing against india that it is hard to imagine and today against the no 1 team, we displayed great character. what does it mean? we have some skillset but we are too lazy? or are we mentally weak and can’t face india anymore?

anyway, bowling was good but why cant it be consistent? batting remains bad. one more wicket down nd 225 would have become 425 for us. hafeez, azhar too slow as always. fakhar played good.

who knows which Pak will show up against sri lanka

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

here is another question, hassan Ali was our best bowler why did he not complete his bowling quota? I am beginning to have doubts on Sarfraz’s captaincy. No hafeez in the last match when Wahab was being punished by the Indians and now this. During the last match the Indian crowd was shouting the name of wahab to be given the ball and our captain obliged.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa at Edgbaston ICC Champion Trophy 7 June 2017

there were few tactical erros…how come your best bowler hasan ali did not bowl his full bowling quota?

we probably dont need shadab as we already have hafeez and imad. shadab only bowled 5 overs today. if that is the case, play faheem ashraf.
