Re: Pakistan vs South Africa, 3rd ODI, Feb 09, 2007
This is not a good replacement. They are quite different players
Nazir 30 (13-balls)
Hameed 13 (30-balls)
Even with a century off 110 balls, Hameed cannot demoralize opposition and set a solid foundation for 300+, as Nazir did with his 50.
Re: Pakistan vs South Africa, 3rd ODI, Feb 09, 2007
It's hilarious to a ridiculous degree to note the level of how low one stoops when facing at the receiving end of the same behavior.
and you are suggesting, what is the right way to go about?

Re: Pakistan vs South Africa, 3rd ODI, Feb 09, 2007
As you might have noticed yourself, perhaps, Pak and PCB are more keen in using this series as their last chance to test all available options for WC otherwise Pak is a better ODI side.
Pak won last game with a margin of 141 against a better SA side and that without our key bowlers available (Asif is a new option). :)
It was a brilliant performance and a good team effort. But Pak have won just 1 game, and if u already don't have this on mind:
In the last game, our key hitters performed well and other batsmen used that advantage successfully and the score-card was 351-4 at the end of 50 overs. Pak were well-able to register much more than that and in fact a score of 400+ could have raised the team spirits to sky-high but 351 was enough for a victory. But luck also played its role. 351 was a huge total for any team to chase but SA were not lucky as well:
*]Afridi does not mis-field too often, but he dropped an early catch as well (something lucky for SA) that could have turned the game but Asif delivered exceptionally well.
The victory was amazing, anyways. It is a game of luck and a few good performers. Otherwise our openers provided a descent start of 1 :) , but we still managed to scored 351 and won that game.

SA lost a KEY wicket to umpire. **Asif posed an injuiry drama **
(HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT, ASIF HAS BEEN EXAUSTED WITH EXTRA LOAD HE HAS CARRIED IN THE TESTS) and delayed the game and the most-important SA batsman in a chase (Gibbs) lost his concentration and wicket. otherwise with Asif’s spell finished and no other bowler available out there to restrict Gibbs to 6/over…
SA lost another (less) important wicket to electricity (and Mehmood) ![]()
Moreover, **Asif bowled 10 straight overs and he was so LUCKY as Boucher was not out there during his spell. **Boucher is one player who can easily hit Asif for as much as 20 runs (an over) in a TEST and 28 runs (an over) in an ODI. It is not necessary though.

This is an perfect example, not only Shoaib Akhtar but his fans are equally self-akhtar-centered. On one hand their role model has been caught on faking injuries on several tours (skiing and clubbing with injury) and they dare to come and dragging the bowler who has been delivering on a consistant basis.

After giving away 82 runs in 10 overs, I think it is a blessing in disgust for him.
Re: Pakistan vs South Africa, 3rd ODI, Feb 09, 2007
For this match IMO
1) Nazir
2) Akmal
3) Younis
4) Yousef
5) Inzimam
6) Malik
7) Afridi
8) Razzaq
9) Azhar
10) Rehman
11) Asif
Re: Pakistan vs South Africa, 3rd ODI, Feb 09, 2007
It was not fair to Gibbs, Ramiz did not showed him a replay either. This was perhaps the best cricket dramma. Asif is performing very good and he is likely to support Akhter a bit in this WC (if ICC don’t suggest Pak to rest them both). But his drama was esceptional, it was something like:
"Gibbs bhai, Inzy tenth over karwa raha hay, ab to chala bhi nahin jaa raha, please wicket day do,…please. :halo: "
And the umpire was more impressed by his dramma and request than Gibbs. ![]()
I hope Boucher will show some respect (to Asif )today. (It will be better if Inzy selects another bowler for Boucher) ![]()
Asif is really a hard worker but the game was more decided when umpire made wrong lbw decission.
