*Tendulkar fails to stop Pakistan *
Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq finished what Shahid Afridi started as Pakistan beat an International XI by six wickets in a charity match at a murky Brit Oval.
In a game reduced to 10 overs per side because of rain, Pakistan overhauled a target of 124 in the final over.
Afridi blasted 22 runs off the first four balls he faced on his way to 41 and Inzamam hit an unbeaten 36 from 17.
Earlier Sachin Tendulkar proved his fitness with 50 not out and Mahendra Dhoni hit 35 from 13 balls.
Tendulkar, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, has been playing charity games in the UK with the aim of playing in India's next one-day series in August.
The match, played before a crowd of over 20,000, raised £250,000 for survivors of last October's Pakistan earthquake, which killed over 70,000.
Pakistan have seen two leading fast bowlers, Shoaib Akhtar and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan ruled out of the tour and another, Mohammad Asif, is a doubt for the first Test, which starts across London at Lord's on Thursday. To fill their bowling attack they asked former captain Waqar Younis to pull on the lime green shirt for the first time in more than three years, although he was substituted in the field after bowling his two overs.

AFRIDI POWERS PAKISTAN TO VICTORY
Shahid Afridi turned in another astonishing display of hitting with 41 from 12 balls as Pakistan won their Twenty20 match against an International XI by six wickets at the Oval.
All-rounder Afridi hit his first four balls, faced in near darkness, from Zaheer Khan for three sixes and a four as Pakistan chased the International team’s 123 for one off 10 overs.
They got home on the last ball thanks to a rapid 36 not out from captain Inzamam ul Haq.
Rain shortened the match but not the excitement as Afridi greeted Scott Styris by hitting his first two deliveries into the crowd before he eventually holed out to Brian Lara at short fine leg.
In all he hit five sixes and two fours to give the Pakistan innings a real shot in the arm.
Sachin Tendulkar made 50 not out, from 26 balls with eight fours and a six, out of the International XI total as he continues his recovery from the shoulder injury that kept him out of India’s recent series win over the West Indies.
Tendulkar and Brian Lara (32) put on 72 for the first wicket before Lara walked after inside-edging Abdul Razzaq to the keeper.
Even in the gloom Lara managed to hit Waqar Younis for three fours in one over and put Razzaq over the fence.
Partner Tendulkar received a standing ovation from the 20,000-plus crowd when he reached his half-century but even his batting was overshadowed by the explosive Mahendra Dhoni who smashed the ball to all parts, making 35 from 13 balls with three fours and three sixes, out of a stand of 51 for the second wicket.
Mohammad Sami, who was thought to be struggling to be fit for Thursday’s first Test match tested out his knee injury by bowling two overs, although nowhere near full pace full pace.
It was a welcome boost for the Pakistanis, who have lost Rana Naved for the Test series with a groin injury.
Re: Pakistan vs rest of the world… Twenty20
Its means that an innings as good as Tendulkar’s couldn’t do it for world XI

Re: Pakistan vs rest of the world… Twenty20
That’s what makes a batsman a Tendulkar:)
His best innings are mostly historically where his team lost:hehe:
