i agree. we definitely need to do something to spice things up. Its becoming montonous. I am beginning to sympathise with Aussie cricket fans. ![]()
or they can try playing without their helmets, gloves and pads ![]()
let’s not be too full of ourselves :o
Wonderful performance :k:
Ok, so will NZ be able to win the last ODI? If they do, it will be totally unexpected, considering the drubbing they have received in the first four. Then again, Pak team sometimes mehmaan nawaazi mein agay barh jati hai.
man why did Saleem Elahi and Farhat take so long to finish off the innings for Pakistan.
I thought they would have done it inside 30 overs.
AoA, everybody this ma first time on this site I think is great! Anyway I think slowly but surely Yasir Hameed willl be the Next great Pakistani Batsman and should b the Man of th Series of this Tournament!

welcome to the board.
He may be man of the series, but not "Tournament" :)
Higlights of the 4th ODI now playing at PakistaniMedia.Com. Enjoy.
This is the first time in ODI history that same opening pair had 3 consecutive 100+ runs partnerships.. There have been few instances of 2 consecutive century partnerships by the same pair but never had 3. Now Imran Farhat and Yasir Hameed have changed it all.. Very Done boys..
This is what I found from another cricket website

saleem was waiting for imran to complete his 100 and did not want to score since there was not enuff score left....
and imran was being so careful that he wanted to move only at a run per over....
in his nervous state of reaching his first 100 (2nd attempt in consecutive matches) he got himself run out....
then malik came and sealed the innings....
an interesting coincidence was the bowling figures of 7-1-18-1 for shoab, razzaq and azhar at one certain period during the match....
Lets see what team will Pakistan play in the 5th odi..
I think they will go with their full might including Sami And Shoaib!
Shoaib will probably be rested in the last ODI.

Black Caps eye payback in home series
RAWALPINDI: New Zealand’s cricketers are already eyeing the upcoming home series for a chance to inflict some payback on Pakistan’s dominant batsmen.
The hurting tourists will perform one of the great comebacks if they topple Pakistan tomorrow in the fifth and final match of the tour here after another one-sided contest at Pindi Stadium yesterday.
Pakistan skittled a sleepy New Zealand lineup for 183 then blasted the winning runs with just three wickets down and nine overs to spare to go 4-0 up in the series.
The pulling power of the understrength New Zealanders also epitomised by the little more than 5000 fans turning up on hometown hero Shoaib Akhtar’s home turf.
The New Zealand bowlers last night would have dreamed of seaming, bouncing tracks in Hamilton and Wellington rather than the flat surfaces here on which the batsmen have carved them up.
Young openers Imran Farhat and Yasir Hameed, both named in the Pakistan tour squad yesterday, put on 134 runs off 27 overs, their third consecutive century opening stand.
Captain Chris Cairns, who wants to get through a first-class match for Canterbury on his return before making himself available for test selection, admitted the return series was becoming a happy thought.
**“They are more susceptible to touring than most teams,” Cairns said.
"We’ve struggled over here but the sub-continent guys tend to struggle more when they go to Australia or New Zealand.
“There will be a lot of questions asked about their techniques and I hope I’m around to bowl so I can set it right a bit.” **
The tour starts with the first of two tests in Hamilton on December 19, then five one-day internationals.
A frustrated Cairns offered some fighting talk ahead of tomorrow’s final match, but it will take a standout performances by a New Zealander and a disinterested Pakistan showing to see an upset.
"I’m not proud of our record here, but if you compare the matchwinners we don’t have as many as them. We need to be at our full potential and they need an off day.
“Our guys have to boost themselves up, I can only say the words.”
The tourists will likely continue with their rotation policy which should see paceman Kerry Walmsley return along with spinner Daniel Vettori.
Allrounder Jacob Oram though was still 50-50 with his side strain.
Criticism of the current side has to be tempered by the fact they are missing Stephen Fleming, Nathan Astle, Shane Bond, Craig McMillan and Scott Styris.
Yesterday’s showing made it clear how tough playing a match every second day was for the uninitiated.
"The theme has been facing the reality of the whole situation, " Cairns said.
"Captaincy has been great even though I’ve lost every game. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the group, they’re very green but they’ve tried very hard and I’ve been proud of that.
“They really have to pull themselves up for this last one mentally.”
There was one bright spot for the tourists yesterday, Auckland allrounder Tama Canning who recovered from a horror debut in Lahore.
Canning, who shifted from Australia to pursue his dream of a place in the New Zealand team in 1999, was satisfied with his improved showing but irked at the win-loss record after they blew a win in the tour opener.
“We are hurting, I think we have been since the first game. We should have won it then we were outplayed in the next three,” said Canning, who took two for 30 off 10 overs yesterday.
“The boys will get up again, we’ll give it everything and it’d be nice to go home with a win.”
NZ tour will be very exciting indeed. Lets see how youngsters do under those conditions.
Hey does anybody know why Sami did'nt play in the last match?
