this article was on cricinfo and the most biased look at the Indo-Pak games for past…i looked at it and saw 1984 BH finals and i looked down to expect the Next Big final both teams play ad guess what Mr Sriram Veera, aboslutely ommitted the Next thrilling game from his memory…not only that but they skipped the whole period of 85-86–92 where India lost 18 games out of 22…

I guess one can take a Low self esteem indian ouuta india and put him into Silicon Valley, but even that cant get the inferority complex ouuta him. Indians Losers in 86, The scars of Indian defeats are stillvery noticeable even in 2007 , Priceless.

Bhai Jaan he is talking about Worldcup like tournaments. First Paragraph exaplains it. Basically tournaments where all the test playing nations play. If he started brining Australasia cup then he will bring Asia cup etc too.

While there’s not much to choose between the two teams, Ian Chappell believes that Pakistan hold the edge on the basis that if they have got to defend a middle-of-the-road target, then they’ve got a better chance than India since their attack is better balanced

I think Chappel is right. Pakistan does have better bowling lineup and equally good batting line up if not better. Advantage Pakistan.
Having said that, I think what will matter most is the Toss. In high profile games like this it is important to win toss and bat first. Very rarely team batting 2nd win worldcups. Out of 9 worldcups team batting 2nd only won twice I think.

After watching almost all the Pakistan and India matches in this tournament, I think although Pakistan has a more balanced team… it’s the Indian team that can hold its nerve when it matters most.

For most Pakistan games, we sort of expected them to win - say… starting midway of the second innings… but with Indian wins… the victory was still 50/50 until the second last over. I think its a big advantage that they can handle the pressure… and this might be key to this last match.
