people like yk, afridi and akmal deserve to be criticised because they are senior players and much more is expected of them. yk and afridi have around 10 years of experience and akmal has been around for 5+ years. senior batsmen have to play a leadership role especially in crunch games. over the last few years, pak's record in must win one day matches is pretty pathetic largely due to repeated failure of batting line up in which yk and afridi have a central role. if senior players cant perform on big occasions, other players should be considered for their roles. pak cricket is much stronger because of the discovery of misbah. i am pretty sure misbah would not have been given a chance if bari was still a selector. i am disappointed that alam has not been given opportunity to bat despite being included in different squads. it should be pretty clear by now that current crop of senior players cant deliver. they dont come through in big matches and they consistently lose to australia. its time to bring in new blood now in odi to change our fortune. performance of new players in this tournament includes talent is here. now these players need experience.
