Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

Well actually, thanking God and hurling abuses are NOT quite the same thing. And certainly not equally "wrong."

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

Don't worry .... we already know what he is ;)

One could ask him where he was hiding from May 2011 to February 2012 ;)

In "Deutsch" they say "Gut Wetter Freund" .... coz this is what he is for India ..... and he has proven it time and again :D

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

sorry to say i know religion should not come in but v muslims bow down in front of ALLAH where as they dont do these sajda so its totally on him how he enjoys his century

1 thing v noticed some really pathetic bowling from both sides yesterday but india were far far better thn us in fielding pakistani players became hopeless only after 10 overs when they were not able to break partnership of sachin n kholi .............. v need a captain who can think n motivate in hard time jab captain he sari hope lose kr gaya tu apne team ko kasay sath le kr chaly ga

i said it several time misbah is a test player n he cant do captaincy i think younis was far better than him when he was captain n i think hafeez would be better than misbah

i hope so after this tournmenet PCB will think over it again

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

well u my friend have very jahil views !!!!

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

not everyone is impressed by these things. they are conditioned by their society to make these kinds of overt displays of religion. but we all know such displays are no an indication of respectability…they were bowing down even while throwing matches for a few dollars from bookies.

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

It is. its a game of cricket not prayer call.
it shows the lack of intelluctal depth in the team. it is the same mentality which made them pray in mohali i front of cameras. they thought they showed indians that they can pray in thier ground . infact no body cares if you pray in full public visibility in india. you have to live in a multicultural and multi religious society to know that.but in their little minds they thought they were proving some point. it was a cheap shot from them which no body cared about in india. its the same mentality which made lala and another paki ex cricketer give anti hindu statements just for a game.
religions should be kept out of sports and politics. they involve religion hence they cant complain if someone else celebrates according to their own style. if indians (Hindus if you will) celebrated on the ground of peshawar or lahore with full display of gods, bells, drums and whole nine yards then i am sure you will take an offence.

kohli hasnt done anything which most of the star players dont do in any game in the world. yet he is a bad boy.
stop involving religion in every aspect of your life and just play cricket.

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

No kaka that sajda was for thanking Allah so i dont see any thing wrong in it.............

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

Right on ..... It's not the Sajda of the Body but that of ur heart which no one except the Almighty Allah sees

However i'm not Almighty Allah to judge who performs it from His/her Heart and who don't

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

The match under discussion is the one played in Dhaka, not in Mohali. And you could keep your condescending pontification to yourself because I could care less what your players did in Peshawar or Lahore, and certainly would not take offensive if they celebrated with drums or bells or displays of Gods in those grounds. In this case, moreover, the hosts were Bangladeshis and I am sure they would not have thought that their land became paleet if some player kissed the ground for a moment or two. Some players kiss their bats, some kiss the ground when they achieve a milestone. I don't see anything offensive unless the player starts surmonizng or starts belittling the opponent with his gestures or words. But yes, if the opponet side is likely to take offense and equate thanking God with hurling abuses then yes such behavior should be avoided...

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

lol

what does one player celebrations got to do with another one praying..

i don't think kohli was abusing anyone it's just way he celebrates,i have seen similar kind of gesture in australia when he scored century.

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

Can you show me an incident where Hafeez or Jamshed both of whom bowed yesterday were involved in throwing matches. Making wild statements does not do any good. Think before you type.

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

well played pakistani tean, m proud of u :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

what difference does it make where the game was played. you may pretend to not care if other religions celebrate on your ground but ground reality is other wise. religious tolerance has abysmal record in pakistan.
i am a very secular person, i support keeping religion away from sports. you know it very well that i am not talking about just this incident but overall mentality of pak cricket team. so please dont digress. you want tolerance on the ground then you have to start it with your own attitude first.
it is not me who is comparing the two attitudes, it rangoli who posted a comparision.
as far as i am concerened (or my countrymen for that matter) , i dont give a hoot what you do in celebration. it only exposes your mentality. be it afridi or kohli.

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

i know ninja. and like i said i dont care about it. i believe in oneness in god so it doesnt matter which god you bow to its still the same god.
i am talking about the general mentality of pak cricket of mixing religion with cricket.

Re: Pakistan vs India Asia Cup -18 March 2012

The discussion is digressing into areas other than cricket. Match is over, so lets all take a chill pill and move on. Thread is closed.
