Something seriuosly wrong here
Here is my take on this pitch. It is probably a 250 runs pitch for top class batting against medium or average/good bowling. However with DRS and top class bowling it has become a 100-200 pitch. Pakistans batting is not top class, its average/good hence they managed barely 100.
England has late hitting power so they may manage 100-150. If you take DRS out, then each side probably would have made 200-250 or a long ground out 300, like the old days.

The series is about bowling strength of the two sides and in this Pak has come out on top as they have humbled the better batting side in this contest. Therefore as far as bowling strength is concerned in this series pak has won hands down. It will be nice to win this match, however if not than no problem, we have won the series and if at the start of the series anyone would have given Pak a 2/0 lead after two matches all of us would have taken it. So relax and enjoy the match, we might yet win this one as well.

Are the UAE pitches really that difficult to score runs on or is it more a reflection of the quality of batting of both sides? Pakistan's 338 in the 1st innings of the 1st test remains the highest innings total in the series so far
Should have played Umar Akmal in place of Cheema esp. on these UAE pitches. But then if your top 6 batsmen have not made enough runs it is debatable whether an extra batsman would have helped much in the circumstances
Pakistan's first aim tomorrow should be to bowl England out under 150 (certainly under 175) and then bat well ofcourse - try and score 200+/- in the 2nd innings (a huge ask given the 1st innings display). This game might well finish on day 3 or even tomorrow the way batsmen have fared so far..
16 wickets fell in the day, 9 of them LBW (6 Pak, 3 Eng)!!

When are we going to get rid of sick mentality of bringing up corruption everytime team flops? Its not like only Pakistani team flopped and Eng team are cruising. Both teams are struggling to bat, so take a chill pill.

What more were you expecting?
True the batting flopped (99 is a nothing total on any wicket..) but then so did England's - 100 odd for 6 is not a convincing display by any means. Give Pak bowlers credit for fighting tooth and nail even in adversity
Look at the English batting line-up and the amount of runs they have scored at test level and then compare it to ours!! They could so easily have been 150 odd for 2 by the close today and shut us out of the game completely. But thanks to our bowlers we are still in the game
England are 65-35 ahead at this stage IMO - even a 1st innings deficit of 50 odd might prove to be decisive in such a low scoring game.
But you never know. If Pakistan bat well in the 2nd innings and are able to set England a target of 150 +/- then anything is possible

I was so looking forward to this match, but had a full day of clinics today so didn't get to watch lekin thought koi baat nahi, will watch tomorrow. But matchs already almost half over :(
