Great hard-fought win
I don’t quite agree with the MoM. It should have gone to Younis because he was the one (not Azhar) who really dominated the spinners and wrested the initiative back from England on day 2. When two guys have scored hundreds in a game, the MoM award should not necessarily go to the one who has scored more runs (unless you are talking of a double or triple hunded) as is so often wrongly the case. That is not what the award is there for. It should be given to the man who (performance-wise) had the greatest influence on the game and that for me was Younis Khan. His was a class innings, a quality knock. Younis played everything in the middle of the bat with the spin. Everybody-else has had to score steady
Azhar scored more runs but his was a more restrained hundred.
Don’t think Saeed Ajmal got any of Atherton’s Qs during the post match interview!!
