Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Well as much as I enjoy Danish's bowling, his fielding is painful to watch, I think we will be putting him out of his misery once he is dropped from the ODI side. Sadly, the same can be said about the fielding of Butt and Rana.

As for the super sub, considering Inzi & Woolmer's thick headed approach, I wouldn't be surprised at Arshad being given a 3rd try. They even have the excuse of losing Kaneria's spin, so Arshad is needed to cover up.

Personally, all rounder as the super sub is the only way to go with the current absurd rules.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Has the selectors announced the team for the rest of the ODI’s:confused:

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Rana and Butt’s fielding is much better when compared to Dani’s. On a scale of 10, Dani’s fielding will be between 2-3 while Butt and Rana somewhere in 5-6.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

There is nothing wrong with Rana’s fielding he always put 100%. I have seen him diving and actually stopping confirm 4’s. Butt is a bit shaky sometimes but alright most of the time.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

If you want to compare the fielding standard, Rana is way ahead of anyone, I think you can categorize like this

The Best:
Shoaib Malik, Rana Naveed, Younis Khan and Mohammad Sami.

After 'em:
Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akther.

and the Rest:
Razzy, Inzi (exception wonderful slip fielder), M. Yousef

and the worst:
Butt (he has the ability but for some reason he keeps on popping the ball) and Dani.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Totally agree with butt and dani being the butter fingers of our team but Rana the best:konfused: . Mana kay he is the most enthusiastic among all but that does’t mean that he is the best. And you are rating him more than afridi:smack2:

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Ahooo :snooty: I am rating him above Afridi, Koi masla:smokin2::soldier:
no doubt Afridi is a good fielder but Rana is better.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

You have to be joking…Rana and fielding? Better than Afridi? We are talking about fielding the ball and not going for Inzi’s choti moti golian, if its the latter than Iam in total agreemenet with your thesis, if its the former than I must ask u to go and see a eye doctor…

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

yeah ayaa na mera dost , clint eastwood kee band bajanay. Ab dekha na is ko bandook:p

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

:nono1::smokin: Its quite simple you need to watch more cricket, Yes Rana’s fielding is way better in regards of cricket, no racquet/squash ball involved here :p, you can watch the coming games if you have any doubts :snooty:

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Really!! Most of us normal folks like watching cricket while a few eccentrics like yourself with a gentle sensitive side tend to look at the more delicate things in life which we coarse, ignorant commoners tend to ignore :hula: ;).

So where can I send your flowers?

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Sure if you wanna send flowers do so @ Moon :stuck_out_tongue:

well as far as being normal and me being eccentric, its all about the knowledge and experience of the game, which you do lack. take it up the way you like I dont care and does’nt matter to me.

as far as you being a normal folk :hehe: wake up and dont despise the fact.
In short grow up.

shall we get back to cricket now :elmo:

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

Chaloo chaloo mut laroo bhaiooo and lets hope that everything go well in Karachi untill the 3rd ODI. It’s really important for the future of this important cricket center.

Security blanket greets England

As expected, the levels of security around the National Stadium in Karachi ahead of Thursday’s one-day international are more akin to a presidential visit than a cricket match. But given the will-they, won’t-they discussions over the viability of the game going ahead which have been doing the rounds for months, it is almost a miracle - but a welcome one - that the match is happening at all.
About 3000 police and paramilitary forces will guard the National Stadium and the teams’ hotel over the next two days. Both sides will have a security blanket protecting them on trips between the hotel and ground.

Stringent security measures are in place for a sell-out crowd of 33,000, with all spectators having to prove their identities before being allowed entry to the ground. The gates will open three hours before the 11am start to allow police to carry out stringent searches.

“We have made extremely tight security arrangements for the match,” Major General Javed Zia, director-general of the paramilitary forces, told reporters. “We know this is a very important match for the city and we want to ensure nothing is left to chance.”

England will be the first non-Asian side to play in Karachi since they won the final Test in December 2000. Since then, unrest and bomb blasts have meant that Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies have all refused to include the city on tour itineraries.

England will arrive on Wednesday afternoon and leave on Friday, spending less than 48 hours in the city. A bomb blast last month about 200m from the five-star hotel where the England team will stay had threatened to lead to the match being rearranged, but the authorities persuaded the England management to adhere to the agreed itinerary.

The Pakistan Cricket Board and the government will be determined that the game passes off without a hitch. If it does, then it will be far easier to re-establish Karachi as a vital venue on any tour.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

So you’r the Moon Fairy!!

Ah Yes, cricket!! Hmmmm, this comming from a moon fairy who rates Rana fielding above Afridi’s, wow…and u expect us to take u seriously???

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

I dont know why English team is so worried about the security blah blah! I mean after the subway bomb blast its confirmed that "terrorism" is a global problem and if australia could stay in england after the blast then I see no reason why not the english and australian team can stay in Karachi and other places. :o and now they will say because of the security we lost the match, we couldnt do anything

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

only security this gora need is from shoab ...bowl fast at them aktor!

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 3rd ODI

^^ :hehe:
IMO there should be only one change, the usual one Afridi in place of Dani
here is the 11 IMO, I dont wanna use the super-sub, well we all know :halo:

**1) Butt
2) Akmal
3) Younis
4) Yousef
5) Inzi
6) Malik
7) Razzaq
8) Afridi
9) Rana
10) Akther
11) Sami
**
No reason to change the order just coz Afridi is in, Kamran and Butt have played well. Who knows Afridi may come very handy at the lower order, and Pakistan can have anyone as the super-sub, I mean you have 6 bowlers what else you need and your batting order is till 8/9 heck even sami can hit few blows when required.
