Was Rana Naveed not available for this match? If he was, then I am very surprised that Sami was picked ahead of him. I only remember Sami bowling well once in his entire career, and that was on our last tour of New Zealand. Even then, it was only a couple of spells that he impressed everyone.

Our PCB think-tank (whic is empty BTW) think very highly of Sami for his pace. Unfortunately Rana hasn’t shown much promise in Test arena though but I’d have picked him.

^ If not Rana then what about Gul? We needed some line and length bowlers but instead there wasn't space in the 16 man squad for Gul because of Mushy and Arshad.
