This victory is hugely impressive for so many reasons.
i) It comes against a backdrop of 5-0 whitewash not too long ago.
ii) Pakistani team chased down a target on a tricky pitch without being seriously threatened
iii) Backbone of the chase came with two youngsters carrying us through... asad shafiq and much maligned umar akmal
iv) You cannot pick an individual performance as the KEY factor. Everyone chipped in with vital contributions.
v) We actually outperformed australia in all three departments (Bowling, batting AND fielding)

Pak bowling has always been good. Today fielding was v.good inc,the WK and most importantly the batsmen were disciplined and did not throwaway the wickets too early (except Afridi but by that times the game had been won).
As to Sri Lankan support, it is one of those strange things: for some reason even I wanted to root for anyone that was playing against Australia because they have been such an overwhelming force but more pertinently, some of them led by Ponting have been acting too elitist undervedly.

Look at the expression on Ponting’s face when they were appealing…its like a little lost boy crying…“oh no!..they arent gonna give me out on that are they?!”
