Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

^ this this is a diaper version of WI of that era :hehe: but still kudos to Azhar Ali for the double ton :k:

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Pakistan has crossed 500 runs.

As per one comment from cricinfo:

“2 No. of times before this Pakistan had scored 500 or more before the fall of their third wicket. The last such instance came in 1985, v SL in Faisalabad.”

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

what the heck, do they wanna bat all 5 days to feel good ??

declare it already man let those tired westindies bat a bit

if they keep batting it will be a no-result dead rubber

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

I think they will let WI play last 20-25 overs

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Need to bat out WI from the match

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

I wish Babar Azam would have scored a debutant century

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Azhar Ali 302* :k: :k: :k:

Paqk 579/3d

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

WI 69-1

Pakistan still needs 19 more wickets to win

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

May be in a wishlist, but I wanted Pak to bat all day long on this condition that they play last 20+ overs as a T20 game. Azhar could have scored 100 more.

Nevertheless, a YUUUGE inning by Azhar. A great milestone for becoming a first centurion, first double-centurion, and first triple centurion in a day-night test.

Just 4th Pakistani to score 300 runs. :d6c:

Agr mujhay lay jatay tu main nay “an’i” pa daynee thee…800 tu koy baat hi nahi thee…per talent key koy qadr hi nahi…

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

I said Pakistan has to increase its run-rate, now the third day is almost over, 13 odd overs are left for the day…and match is heading towards boring draw…

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Stumps - Day 3

WI Ist inn: 315/6…trail by 264 runs

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

14 more wickets Pakistan needs to win and the it is a flat wicket…

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

A good day for the Windies but Pakistan still ahead.

I am not too impressed with this idea of day-night test games (will deprive us of testing morning’s play when the ball swings a lot more esp if there is dew or overcast conditions).

Pink ball looks crap to me. Although the evening conditions can also help the ball to swing, there has hardly been any swing seen in this game.

Test cricket should stay as it, a day affair. If they want to curtail it to 4 days it should still remain a largely day affair with 2.5 hours (instead of 2) x three sessions per day and only some part of the last session each day played under lights with a WHITE ball.

I would not like ICC to introduce pink ball in day-night ODI games!

Too much tinkering is bad for the game.

And I wish they prepared pitches with more pace and bounce in UAE

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

On flat pitches, Wahab (bowled with real pace and aggression esp. in the last session) is a better bowler than Amir

Amir has not been the same bowler since his come back, hardly swings the ball these days or looks threatening at all

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Is it just me who thinks it should be a white ball not pink?

Whats wrong with white ball either way? Or is it just becuz of white kit that players have on? The kit needs to be changed, not the ball.

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Finally got them out…

Pakistan should have forced follow-on…

That way they had more chance to win…there isn’t enough time left, it is fourth day, and Pakistan do need at least 4 sessions to bowl them out…and way pitch have behaved, it huge task…

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

All right, who else is watching this game

Re: Pakistan v West Indies, 1st Test, Dubai

Pak 122/9 in the second innings how the mighty fall.
