Afridi Man of the match. Its rare that someone from losing side gets MoM but Afridi deserves it totally. It looks like he was playing on a totally different pitch.

Great to see Shoaib Akhter back and bowling well. In the first spell he looked much better than Asif, who was leaking runs. I still think Akmal should open to bring back the balance in the squad.
Malik looked like he had no clue...was out of match practise.

Afridi's innings atleast saved us from complete annihilation. At 30 odd for 4, I feared the worst, a loss by 100 odd runs....N.R.R. might still become important
But even Afridi's brilliant hundred and Shoaib's impressive comeback could not save us from defeat, a reminder to everyone that cricket is a team sport afterall and individuals can only do so much. Individual brilliance often counts for little unless the rest of the players (or atleast half the team) pull their weight

Well played Afridi,, hard luck Pakistan. Good to see Shoaib Actor back in the team and actually performing. Though I didnt like that he was bowling short balls most of the time, he still has enough of pace, he still can do better with a different line and length.

Good knock by Afridi today. I honestly do not remember his last 100. His average is in the 20s after all. If it wasn't for the bad start and the run outs - Pak would've made it.

A few things I didn't understand
1) If Butt is such a bad fielder why is he fielding in the slip?
2) Why are rookies playing at #1 and #3
3) How come young boy like Afridi couldn't keep up with the Akmals. His ID card says he is 27.

Pakistan can't win as long as the team remains afflicted with the disease called Kamran Akmal
Mohammad Asif to Jayawardene, FOUR, 81.6 mph, Edged but Kamran couldn't get to it. It was a lovely leg cutter around off - a classic Asif delivery - and Mahela had a lame poke at it,. Almost fatal. The gap between the keeper and slip was wide and Kamran dived but couldn't reach.
Shahid Afridi to Kulasekara, 1 wide, 60.6 mph, Stumping chance missed. Not a surprise if you have followed Kamran's career. It was down the leg side and Kula had leaned forward to flick and lost balance and had stepped well out of the crease. But Kamran doesn't collect it cleanly. Oh well
compared to
Muralitharan to Shahid Afridi, OUT, 55.1 mph, What a catch. Stunning reflex from Sanga but stand up and applaud for Shahid Afridi. What a treat to watch. What a special knock. It was a ripping off break that turned and bounced into Afridi who trying to back away for the cut shot. He ended up jabbing it of his gloves to right of the keeper. Sanga was moving his hands to outside leg, coverin for the original trajectory, but reacts very quickly to lunge across to his right and behind him to take a stunner. A special innings took a very good delivery and a special catch to come to an end.

salman butt shouldnt be made vice captain. he only plays well if hes fighting to get back into the team. drop shoaib malik.
i like the bowling attack but theres one fast bowler too many. only way razzaq's place is justified is if he batted higher up the order allowing ajmal to come in to the team at the expense of malik.
they ought to persist with Asif. his second spell was promising and he'll come good. rest akhtar for Gul if needed.
wonderful batting by afridi. really i cant remember a cagier, grittier knock in recent times by a pakistani. closest thing that comes to mind was razzaq's amazing knock last year in the twenty 20 match against england in uae.
