Sanga got a rough one from Tony Hill. He was well forward + attempting to defend when the ball hit him. Also the ball spun prodigiously and was probably missing leg

As i already mentioned umpiring was really pathetic in this match Azhar Ali was not out too in the 1st innings

Dilshan to Azhar Ali, OUT, Dilshan strikes again, just as the day is about to end, Azhar went down to sweep a tossed up full delivery that turned in to strike him on the pad, would have gone on to hit middle and leg but did thathit him outside the line of off? It did strike him in line but replays show there was some bat on that, oh dear, what a way to bring an end to a break-through knock

Dilshan was correctly given out LBW by Tarapore. He was hit in line and the ball would have gone on to hit middle and leg

**‘Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan fell lbw to decisions you couldn’t be sure of but the balance was restored a bit - so to speak - when Angelo Mathews survived a pretty adjacent call. Mathews went on to delay Pakistan with yet another impersonation of the boy on the burning deck but, as with Paranavitana’s fifty, there was no sting in the innings to hurt Pakistan. The two efforts didn’t prove to be the kind of denial that has recently led to Pakistan bowling’s wilting. Paranavitana did try to show some intent in the fourth over of the morning when he lofted Abdur Rehman over mid-on for four. Rehman had troubled all left-handed batsmen with his flat trajectory and accuracy, repeatedly hitting the rough outside their off stumps. Soon, though, Paranavitana saw Sangakkara walk back in disgust, and went back into his shell.
Sangakkara’s reaction seemed justified. He had taken a big stride in a forward defensive when Rehman got one to turn in extravagantly and hit him half inside the line of off. Even if the umpire Tony Hill adjudicated that Sangakkara was trying to hide his bat behind the pad, the ball turned massively, had a long way to travel, and in all likelihood would have missed leg.’

Now people who were blaming slow tuk-tuk batting in the first test as result of draw should know that the real reason was dropping catches which was culprit behind draw.

Its alright, it balances in the end, some chances against Pakistan some against Lankans.

^ Just to add to that - Younis and Misbah (and their defensive mindset) are very much need in Test cricket. While driving the spectrators to tears, they do stabilize the middle order. In the 1st innings, both did their job.

Here is hoping this brings all the KK fans out of the woodwork. There were some interesting characters during the World cup - two come to mind:
"Pakistan Zindabad ?" - was an ardent supporter and rabid anti- you know which country - and he/she was one of the funniest posters - always cracked me up
Then there was chochi see bachee - her posts - whether intentional or not, were always funny.
Hope this brings all the fans back - good times are here!!

I’m looking a real Test Team after a long long time. No need for T20 & ODI players in Test Team
