That is a cheap remark and will be widely interpreted as sour grapes. So why didnt ganguly raise the issue after the karachi match or was he enjoying the no balls and wides so much that he forgot to notice that Shoaib was chucking.

Shoaib Akhtar may have thrilled his home crowd with a vigorous bowling performance in his 100th one-dayer, but he will not enjoy reading what Sourav Ganguly had to say. When asked whether all of Shoaib Akhtar's deliveries were legal, Ganguly said, "What do you think, watching on TV? I think we all know the answer, don't we?" Despite India's 12-run loss Ganguly was as belligerent as ever when he spoke to the press soon after the second one-dayer

where did you hear this remark? I didnt see it reported anywhere?

:) yes, isn't it amazing how a person could do such a thing.
if link doesn’t work than go to cricinfo and click on “not a easy wicket to bat on”

Well Ganguly played crap today. he was dropped by Shoaib - should have been given out caught behind off Sami but there was no appeal - maybe he's just trying to deflect attention to how $hit he was...
[/QUOTE]
absolutely! ganguly has the habit of blaming the clouds if his eyesight is weak. he lost us the match today and he never has the grace to say 'i did badly'. by the time we reach the 4th odi i foresee a lot of the pyar mohabat come crashing down - honestly.

Well, now that we know it is infact said by Ganguly, I am so looking forward to the next ODI's when Shoaib runs in to bowl to Ganguly. Gangs will be well-advised to have some extra padding. :)
well he did make a similar comment after the first match - the one about the over rate penalty.
I don't see the goodwill lasting for a lot longer in this series.
If that statement was made by Ganguly then it is just one of those mind games. Very similar to what Javed said that..“Irfan pathan is in all Gali koochas of Pakistan”
But coming back to your comment here. Its really a kiddish comment. What do you suggest ,Shoib would have done if Gangs didnt made that comment? Bowling karne ke pehle use pappi de ke aata kya?? or he would have given few full tosses to him to hit some 4s. ![]()

how can it last with people like gangoo. now i don't have any problem with him raising question about someone's bowling action. if you think the opponent has a illegal advantage than you should definitely take it up with the authority. but what amazes me is that he didn't say anything after the first match when shoaib was giving out wides and no balls like candy.
regarding the irfan pathan thing, I remember some of your fellow countrymates calling him a jahil for making those comments, so if we go by what some of your “bretherens” said, that also makes gangoo a jahil, NO?
if that is mind game than okay, I can understand why he would say that. but one thing you do have to admit, when you score 317 runs under the light and say that the pitch was difficult to bat on, that is just plain old excuse, not a fukin mind game.
let's get back to the match. Amid all these Pakistan Zindabad chants, are we forgetting we gave out 37 EXTRAS today. it bit us in the ass in the first game, and if we can't fix it quickly, it will surely bite us again in the future.

By any standard pitch was difficult to bat under light. Balls were stopping before coming, specially the old balls.stroke play was very difficult.
It was only Indian batting lineup which could score 317 under light on that wicket. For any other batting lineup barring AUS 250 would have been enough.

You have to see how many of those 37 were wide/noballs and how many were leg-byes etc. Wide/Noballs you can control; leg-byes.. well :-)
All Praises and Thanks to Allah (SWT) who helped us win this game, alhamdulillah.
Well done Pakistan! ![]()
At one point it looked as if Tendulkar and Dravid will help India cruise to another victory. However, things slowly started to change after Tendulkar and Dravid’s dismissal. The Indian tailenders managed to put up a decent fight, but in the end Sami’s bowling helped Pakistan win the game.
The field placing in the last few overs wasn’t very impressive. I can’t believe there wasn’t a single man at 3rd man and the area surrounding.
Also, it took Sami a while to settle in. I hope he fixes the number of extras he concedes.
After a very long time it was good to see Pakistani openers put up a decent score on the board.
Overall, very happy with Pakistan’s performance.
Hahah… Ganguly’s comments were so contradictory!
Congrats everyone! ![]()

1B people. Probably the largest varsity and Class-A cricket leagues in the world. Cricket is the national obsession. Money comes pouring in.
NOT ONE WORLD CLASS STRIKE BOWLER!
There is nothing else to talk about.

if you can score 317. what is so difficult about 12 more runs. if you guys got out at 150-200 range than you might have an argument.
