I didnt see the last overs but looking at the score card I'm seeing its Shoaib Malik/Sarfraz parternship who literally took 1-2 hardly when they were supposed to hit boundaries? So was it a deliberate lackluster? I dont know but seems like its Malik whose heart wasnt into it.
Thats utterly shameful and disappointing. After a blistering start there is no excuse of letting the match go away
when Sarfaraz and Malik were playing together the pressure was already sky high. Ahmed and Umar created that unnecessary pressure.
Let me be the devils's advocate. For some reason Umar Akmal's heart was not in it. Was it deliberate? (reported rift between Afridi and UA).
Or was it simply a case of Akmal just not being allowed to hit boundaries by NZ bowlers who (intelligently) took pace off the ball
I have never believed in such conspiracy theories. If UA was a super super star withultiple MVPS in WCS this may be a remote possibility. He or most players done have the 5alen5 and record to turn on and off during WCs.
No one woukd try to play badly. Regardless if who the captain is.

I am not easily swayed by conspiracy theories either. I believe in the bolded part. UA struggles against slow bowlers and slowish deliveries. He likes pace on the ball and it seems NZ bowlers did their home work and had a clear plan against him
The first was just something that I have been reading on other social sites
At one stage, which was I think 7th or 8th over, the winning meter showed 84% chances of Pakistan winning the game. Now i do find that meter ridiculous but still i'm finding it hard to believe, how in the world they screwed it and couldnt finish while their 5 wickets were still in hand??!!

Most telented batsman faced 26 balls even didn’t hit a singel boundary. Do you think he wasn’t in form? He was playing under pressure?

I thought he was one of good players against spin, is that wrong?
Few players might get a life ban for grouping and politics and are main reason of this loss...
I hope this is true and Ahmed Shehzad, Shoaib Malik, Umer Akmal gets a life time ban...
Few might say that UA I a very talented and gifted, indeed wheb it comes to dancing and other things he is very good...but this talent is useless is winning matches...
I never believed in conspiracy theories and I did not see the game but as a humble student of cricket, i can say that all was not normal yesterday in pakistan innings. to not score a single boundary batting second with 5 wickets in hands is absolutely not normal.
and before that, umaar kmal and ahmad shezad scoring at the rate of 4 for good 4-5 overs........very fishy.
taking into account that kiwis bowling was not at its best last night as claimed by cricinfo.........
