just saw the highlights....chullo shukaar ha..izzat bach gayee....as always that idiot gul tried his best that pakistan loses this one too..gave away 30 odd runs in his last 2 overs...and i dont even want to comment on tanvir...he is only qualified to play club cricket in aus and england, not even first class cricket let alone international cricket...the fact that we have to select him so often shows the pathetic state of our fast bowling department...to sum it up, our fast bolwers gave away 84 runs in 8 overs and that too on a good pitch for fast bowlers! no more comment needed....
yes we won but let me make a statement...i think our bowling dept is actually more pathetic than our batting....if i think of it again, there is no one bowler in our entire cricket history who had more impact on the outcome of the match single-handedly than ajmal ... and the emphasis is on the word single-handedly....imran had sarfraz to support, wasim and waqar hunted in pair...fazal mahmood got enough support form mahmood hussain and khan muhammad.... but in last 24 months, take ajmal out and pakistan would have lost almost every test match, ODI and T20 that we ended up winning... even today ... yes hafeez bowled so well , but who actually made you win the match by taking regular wickets at key crucial moments? so take ajmal out...and we are left with nothing in the bowling squad.....
and i do want to start on Gul again....but let me just shut up...
on the other hand i think we are making more improvements on the batting front..azhar ali, asad shafiq, nasir jamshed....they are all very talented and shd serve us for next 10-12 years.....but what do we have in the bowling except ajmal especially from long term standpoint?....but still all these so called cricket experts on PTV and Geo will keep repeating one line "hamariee bolwing bhot strong hai...we are so strong in the bowling dept blah blah"... do a bit more segmentation and things dont look that bright on the bowling front...
In T20 you can still get away with 1 or 2 crappy pacers but I am more worried about our test prospects in SA next year

completely agree....it would be a disaster to take these jokers...gul tanvir wahab arfat......junaid is fine but who else? again ajmal and rehman may help us against SAs s they are not good with spin....but these will be fast pitches not dubai marka.....
I would have included Junaid in our T20 squad because he is a wicket-taking bowler. He might go for runs at times but he w'd also provide you with much needed break throughs at the top of the order. Sure he's a mug with the bat but if you are relying on your 11th player to make some runs in a T20 game, then you are playing the wrong sport imo
Brilliant batting performance by Nasir Jamshed, Hafeez. Finally Nazir got a start and he looked really good there. Happy for him. And hope he kicks in from there in this tourney.
Gul and Tanvir tried to lose it for us but THAT magician did it for us again. Good to see Afridi bowling well too.
Honestly speaking, this should be last T20I tournament for Umar Gul, Sohail Tanvir, Imran Nazir, Mohammad Hafeez and Shahid Afridi. This I am saying when we are 'winning'.

Sir hosla rakhayn. I agree with you on the wicket taking department. I know you would hate hearing this but we need Afridi the bowler to regain his form because his pairing with Ajmal is the one that will win us the cup. Rest are just complimenting so far and will continue to do so.
