Guptill and Williamson were subdued from the very beginning today…this is NOT the NZ team we know of…probably, they drank too much on the weekend celebrating their T20 series win.

Too many runs given away by Pak. after 6 down on 99 I was expecting a 150 game but it looks like heading towards 260. Not good. We all know NZ's pacers will be all over our batsmen who are habitual of choking

agree, not good captaincy by azhar..he didnt go for kill and let them score many free runs . anything above 200 would be tough for us. you know out batting. and the pitch has a bit of bounce
plus i am never a big fan of wahab and anwar ali..they always leak so many runs

A 9th number batsman has thrashed Wahab Riaz for 3 sixes in an over. Whole RR is messed up. Why is he even bowling?

Thats disgusting bowling in last 10-15 overs and a terrible bowler option management by Azhar. Wahab and Anwar were the left over bowlers and hammered badly.

what a come back by Kiwis. at one point it looked like NZ would be OUT under 130 or so. who could have imagined that NZ would go on to score 280. hats off to McClanaghan and Mat Henry who played superbly. sad to see McClenaghan get hurt at the end and retire hurt for his great contribution of 31. also, i wished Mat Henry got one more ball to score his maiden half century.

Wahab Riaz and Anwar gave away tons of runs. Wahab should retire in my honest opinion.
i am THRILLED to see my team come around so handsomely. :)
it will be tough for Pakistan to chase down 280. :)

After a hostile opening from Pakistan's quicks, Azhar Ali chose to bowl Imad Wasim and himself in tandem, allowing Mitchell Santner and Henry Nicholls to rebuild. Maybe he did it to get through his fifth bowler, maybe he did it to improve the over-rate. What it allowed New Zealand was time to breathe and Santner and Nicholls batted beautifully to steady the innings. And then it all went wrong during the slog for Pakistan, when the fast bowlers returned and copped a hammering. There were plenty of lucky edges too that streaked to the boundary, but you make your own luck.

i did predict few posts ago that i dont like wahab and anwar ali before the massacre started....
these 2 are fundamentally average bowlers. wahab is even worst because he is weak mentally as well. whenever he goes for runs which he does quiet often, he goes for a lot. under assault, his mind gets blocked and he will keep on bowling hit-me balls.
anyway, i dont know if we have any replacement. Pak cricket is struggling big time coz nothing good is coming out of domestic cricket. we are back to shoaib malik, mohd aamir, umr akmal, and may be salman butt and moh asif as well.

and yes this guy azhar is total carp with no leadership credentials. i am not saying all this coz we got some beating. i actually now stay away from pakistani cricket but started to follow again because of mohd aamir.
anway, this guy azhar shd not lead the team... the way he handled mohd amir case was a total disgrace like a fool. and his captaincy is way too defensive. when kiwis were 99 for 6, he let them settled down. simple as that.

Its not Wahab who should retire, rather Azhar who should quit captaincy.
