I think the answer is to have Farhat improve his bowling skills to be able to bowl a few overs as a backup bowler. Alternatively Taufeeq to work on his keeping skills.

I disagree, Imran farhat was good against South Africa but did you see him play in NZ? And what about domestic cricket? He struggle against NZ and he performance was pathetic in domestic cricket. The only reason he was included in the team because his uncle knows someone PCB.
I can say the same think about Saleem Elahi, he play good @ home but he was pathetic in NZ, mediocre players like this only perform once in a while.
I still think Afridi is a good player, good fielder and handy sixth blower but he is not an opener, if we have an option keep him @ let him come @ 6 & 7th. But if Yasir or Younis can bowl few overs then we don't need Afridi.
