Multan residents, dejected by the defeat of the home team in the one-day series, have bought only 4,000 tickets for the Test so far, when the capacity of their stadium is 28,000.

Defeat in the last ODI has nothing to do with disappointing ticket sales. I have never seen a full stadium in a test match played in Pakistan (with some exceptions once in a while). Pakistani fans seem to lack a healthy appetite for test cricket. Look at the this very thread, a few hours to the match and it's only 2 pages long!
Well what can one do really? I am not gonna make idiotic predictions about the true strenght of a match or team. ODI mean jack ****. A true player is one who can play a test match. I personally would like to see more tests and less ODI. Anyway lets see what the pitch brings tomorrow and what the fates have instore.
Well I wouldn't say that. But yes, Pak fans certainly prefer ODIs to test as so do most fans around the globe.

Not true. Pakistan must be the only country to have such low attendance for tests. In Australia the tests were sold out when india was playing, and I always see full crowds in India especially if it's against a good team.
I'm surprised pakistan is taking such a defensive attitude. The pitch will have nothing for the fast bowlers unless for the first hour or so on the first day. well, lets see it might work for pakistan especially if india bats on the last day. one good thing about dravid being captain is he has a higher chance of winning the toss. good luck all, let's enjoy the test series as much as we did the one dayers!
I think It will be even contest.Whatever edge Indians have oever pakistan due to superior batting and Confidence of ODI is negated by loss of ganglu and return of two bowlers who have not played a single cricket match for last few months.I hope Agarkar and Kumble get rythym quickly.
I think India will not miss Gangu's batting...may be his kaptaani...but not his batting..I think Yuvraj will do a better job batting...and not to mention fielding.
My prediction is....Kumble, like always, will bowl 150 overs and will take 5/250 runs.

as the match is about to statrt i just wanted to wish anil kumble the best of luck, he needs just 18 more victims to become only the ninth bowler in history - and the second Indian after Kapil Dev - to reach 400 in Tests.
Me too.. I think he will keep bowling million overs and pick 18-20 wickets in3 tests. That why I have him as trump. ;)

the ^^ above is a good point, no wonder established spinners like murali' warne and kumble can bowl a lot of overs in test matches and grab regular 5 wicket hauls, this makes getting wicket for them higly likely than a fast bowler.
Its really strange that both teams are playing TEST match after so many years and there is hardly any intrest in Gupshup.Only 3 pages. In ODI it used to be 10 pages even before a ball is bowled.
So only difference between my team and your team is that you have Taufeeq in place of Agarkar. Chal Aggi, two five wicket hauls and I would see your team :kaboom:
