I would have taken 227 at the start of Indian innings. Better to be chasing 227 than 300+/- (which indian batting is more than capable of). The start of Pak innings will be crucial

Dhoni gets a standing ovation from the crowd. Even Pakistan players are walking up to him to congratulate him on what has been a great innings in severely testing conditions. India had slipped to 29 for 5 against some incisive Pakistan bowling, and Dhoni, first with Raina and then with Ashwin, constructed two contrasting partnerships to pull India to a respectable score. Junaid Khan was brilliant for his four wickets and so was Mohammad Hafeez during the middle of the innings. But in the end, Dhoni, dropped by Misbah when he was on 18, fought the sapping weather to take India past 200. We will be back with Pakistan's reply soon.

The conditions (overnight rain) helped the seam bowlers early on but the wicket eased up later. Let’s hope it stays the same

despite 29/5 it is a reasonable target which Pakistan should achieve. Looks like a great innings form Dhoni. Those who think Pakistan let slip remember Pak was 9/3 just a few days ago and went on to win the match. Hota hai. Give credit to Dhoni.

Firstly he dropped umar for a tried and tested ODI failure younis and than he didn't capitalize in the middle after our superb start.

yeah the centuries and brilliant batting Umar has been giving Pakistan recently it is really heart breaking to see him dropped.
