Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Eng 444/3… World record… :k:

Pakistan to chase 445…they have got only one option: Hit each & every ball even if they have to post 249… :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

A well-deserved 100, thoroughly enjoyed by the English batsmen

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

England made 206 runs in the last 17 overs...hmmmm :D

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

You guyz are pessimist. Pakistan will make it in 30 overs.. ok make it 40.

There is already a century recorded by Wahab Riaz, actually 110. Had Azhar bowled all 10 overs, it'd be a double-century.

Take him back to your bollywood

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Pakistan truly ranked #9](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=9) … :jhanda:

I enjoyed Pakistan 10th wicket partnership… :k:

M Amir 58…Sharjeel Khan 58…

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Amir is turning out be a true 'all-rounder' in Pakistani team. :)

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

wow what an outclass by England, and what a beating Pak bowling got.

Until they get rid of people such as sharjeel, hafeez, shoaib malik, azhar ali, there won't be an improvement. Still gotta keep away discipline-issue players such as Ahmed Shahzad and the Akmals.

Despite Wahan and Yasir trying level best, they're just not wicket-taking bowlers in ODIs. Plus they're not really "young".
Azhar Ali has got to go. He is incapable of leading or even justifying his own position in the team.

But knowing we have pathetic selectors (including Inzi, the most lethargic cricketer of Pak), things won't change soon.

I can already see the writing on the wall, this Pak side will lose miserably even against likes of Afg and Bangladesh and even Ireland. They better start preparing for the "qualifiers" rather than WC because that is not a surety anymore.

Other teams are imrpving greatly while this Pak side is getting worse with time, its so bad people are wanting Afridi and Misbah again, lol, who knows maybe wasim can also come back with inzi or something

it's funny and ironic how in the talk shows people keep talking about abdul razzaq, as if he can play forver. That guy is old now and can't always perform, yet our people can't forget him.

All this "bhai" culture in the team is not helping, azhar bhai, hafeez bhai, wahab bhai, shoaib bhai, all these bhai's gotta go if they wanna win, or they will be called a minnow pretty soon

I wonder what Mickey will think about now that the series is lost. From the loser body language of Azhar Ali, it seems winning is just impossible for this side, at least on this tour.

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Pakistan lost by only 169 runs, at one stage it appeared that they will lose by 300 but good resistance by last few batsmen saved some izzat

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Azhar is failure a big failure as a captain...he lost the series even before it started...

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Haif Mohammed single handedly scored 55 runs more than the entire England team.

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

hey, but guy's got talent, I don't know when it was identified, may be not talented enough during last world cup, but probably got talented right after that.

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

He can show his talent in his farewell match...

Mujhe aur jeenay ki

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

If anything we need more impact players like Sharjeel

In order to be consistently good in the ODIs, you need 1 or 2 solid/technically sound batsmen and 3 or 4 impact or explosive players in your top 6.

As for technically sound batsmen we have Babar Azam (give him more time), India have Kohli, England have Root, NZ have Kane Williamson, Aus have Steve Smith, SA have Amla, WI have Marlon Samuels

As for explosive players we have only Sharjeel (yes he's a leg side hack but he can also put the opposition on the backfoot with his explosive hitting), India have Rohit, Yuvraj and Dhawan etc., Australia have Finch, Warner, Faulkner and Maxwell etc. England have Hales, Eoin Morgan and Buttler etc. NZ have Guptill, McCullum and Corey Anderson, SA have Quinton de Kock, De Villiers, David Miller and Du Plessis. Windies have Gayle and Darren Sammy (currently out of favour with the board)

Good impact or explosive players will always be hit or miss (but less so than Afridi!) because of the high risk nature of their game. Look at Hales, Finch, Corey and Gayle.
**
Not everyone can be both explosive (and consistent) like Viv or Gilchrist

**And I was against Azhar playing odis let alone captaining the side from day 1. His game is just not suited to ODIs.

Re: Pakistan V England 3rd ODI

Pakistan and Windies, the only two teams among the top 8 test teams who have yet to score a 400 in ODIs

South Africa have done it the most times (6). They also have a 399/6
