Pakistan don't really look like they're worried about setting a target. I think the orders were to see off the new ball till lunch while in the meantime Woolmer figures out what strategy to adopt.

This is Malik's first time opening so give the guy a break. 70+, 30+, 50+ and 40+ are not bad for opening stands. When was the last time we had similar openings scores?

good strategy. don’t want to take too many risks and give england a chance to win this game. I would be happy with a draw here. Just want salman to score some runs.

I think this is good strategy by Pakistan. Defensive play to see off the new ball and dash any hopes of an early collapse. England were on a bit of a high and it is important to first shut them out of the game. Make them realize that the only 2 outcomes are Pakistan win or draw.

it to gully, huge mix up between the batsmen, both standing in the
middle of the pitch, Naved picks it from gully and throws it to
Afridi, who whips off the bails, Harmison was well sohort of
crease << RANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA did it :P

i thin whoever is watching this match, can see that the shoaib malik experiment as opener is a failure! he is a hard worker, talented batsman, but not for the new ball at all! good middle order batsman!
