Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
The commentator was saying normally Afridi walks to pavillion if he is caught and he was watching the ball as it carried to Tresco...Afridi stood there did not walk off but the umpire gave him out and thats when he walked off the wicket....
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
Pakistan: 354/5
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
is ghulam commentator ramiz raja saying n e thing or shut?
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
shame on the english team…very unsportsman-like to even appeal 2 false catches…i’m sure the person who “caught” the ball (bell in the first case and trescothick in the 2nd) knew it wasn’t really an out ![]()
end of the over, 354-5…
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
Akmal in agressive mood.
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
This is the very first thought that came to ma mind… Man why on earth cant the world see this happening! ![]()
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
I still think the fielders should appeal for all catches. It’s the umpire’s job to make the correct decision.
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
true if the catch is close enough for fielder to appeal than thats y upms r praised and paid so much to make correct decision and if they have doubt refer it 2 3rd umpire!
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
No, fielders can appeal for catches like “nick from bat/glove”, LBW …but not for catches when ball has hit ground and try to get benefit from challenged umpires.
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
Pakistan: 355/5 (89.0 Ovs)
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
theres something called sportsmanship…we’ve seen it happen often when a player walks away when they get out and they know they are out, even when the umpire hasn’t given them out…similarly, if u KNOW u haven’t caught the ball cleanly and the other person is not out, its wrong to appeal for that…i can understand something like LBWs where its not clear to the players sometimes, but catches, surely the person catching the ball knows if it was clean or not…so still ![]()
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
thats insane … there are words like “morality” or “Spirit” in dicitonary .. incase u dont know
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
There is a big difference, Rashid claimed a catch after he dropped it. The pictures, replays clearly showed him picking it up off the ground after dropping it. The two catches in this matches are not so straightforward. The one yesterday definatley bounced but the one of Afridi today, you cant really tell for sure if it bounced or not.
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
inzi is usually nervous b4 reaching a hundred or milestone, takes him a few balls!

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
Hoggard to Shahid Afridi, OUT: slower ball, just outside off, tries
to run it down to third man region, goes t slip, Trescothick takes
a lovely low catch, Hoggard gets his revenge
Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad
